Splinterlands has implemented a new rule where COLLECTION POWER (CP) no longer applies to determine the amount of rewards we will get. This has been replaced by the number of Staked SPS, which varies by League (the higher the League, the more Staked SPS required). This policy had a big effect on me.

Mycelic Infantry

Mycelic Infantry is a TANK that belongs to EARTH SPLINTER in CHAOS LEGION EDITION. At level 1, it is equipped with SHIELD so it is suitable for reducing attacks from Melee and Ranged Monsters. Although it has high ATTACK power, there is a possibility that its attack will fail to hit the opponent because it has the lowest SPEED (except in REVERSE RULESET and AIM TRUE RULESET).

At level 5 (when he reaches the Gold League) he gets an additional GIANT KILLER ability, where the attack he launches will be doubled when it hits opposing monsters that have Mana 10 and above. But as I said before, the ability will be useless if the opposing monster has a higher SPEED or has abilities like FLYING or DODGE.

Lets Start the Battles

The rulesets this time are AIMLESS, REVERSE SPEED, and FEROCITY. FEROCITY is not very suitable when juxtaposed with AIMLESS, the effect of this FEROCITY Ruleset can only be used by Melee monsters while Ranged or Magic monsters will get SCATTERSHOT (the effect of AIMLESS) so that their attacks become irregular and are not affected by TAUNT.

I chose to use EARTH SPLINTER because the average SPEED of the monsters there (especially Magic monsters) is 1 and it is very suitable for REVERSE SPEED.

I was torn between choosing Legionnaire Alvar or Mycelic Infantry to serve as TANK in this battle. Because there was a possibility that the opponent would use FIRE SPLINTER, where there was Grum Flameblade who had low SPEED with 11 points of Mana. Legionnaire Alvar and Mycelic Infantry* both have GIANT KILLER, but Legionnaire Alvar has DEMORALIZE ability to reduce 1 attack power of Melee monsters. But in the end, I decided to use Mycelic Infantry who has SHIELD because I knew this time Mycelic Infantry would only face Melee monsters and it was unlikely that he would get attacked by Ranged or Magic monsters because they got additional SCATTERSHOT from AIMLESS Ruleset.

I also decided to bring Goblin Tower which has BLAST which, when added with SCATTERSHOT, will attack more monsters in the center so that the effect of BLAST will hit the monsters on the right and left.

Thanks to SCATTERSHOT and attacks from monsters other than Mycelic Infantry, the back line can be defeated quickly.
