Astral Entities Daily Pack Opening 12/25/21
What to Expect from the Daily Pack Articles
Each of these Daily Pack Openings is about 450 words in the template for explaining what Astral Entities is and where to find more information on it. I will discuss every single card I pulled in today's pack in detail making my best, uninformed guesses at how the card will be in the Astral Entities Universe. If you are new to the universe, read below to find out more. If you're already familiar with Astral Entities, scroll on down to What I pulled today for the 500-800 word discussion on today's pack. I hope you enjoy reading this, as I am so excited about this game universe and these beautiful NFT's!!!
What is Astral Entities?
Astral Entities is a universe of games in development by Hella Rad Games @cryptoreaper and @tanzofett that will use the same NFT's available now at https://www.astralentities.com for all their games in the Astral Entities Universe. What I pulled Today
Wow, oh wow!!! I am VERY HAPPY with this Life Day pack. Two T3's and three T2's is almost more exciting than a T5, and I couldn't ask for a better Life day present. I adore the artwork by coral of the Human Stalker T3 Hunter, so I used him as today's Cover Picture. His stats are less exciting to me, but I could be very mistaken. None of the games are out yet, so we can't evaluate them with anything remotely close to accurate. The age old question of which is better, versatility or specialization will have to wait for another day.
Gnome Thug
When you need some one in the know, Gnomes are right on the nose. The T1 Thief, Gnome Thug, is Nosey and Quickfingered with a very high awareness and wit of 14. For a T1, that's very impressive-- The Human Stalker we will look at later only has one stat at 14 with no others higher at T3. The Gnome Thug is a more Specialized Min/Maxed card than many of the other T1's. Whether Specialization or Versatility will be more worthwhile is hard to say, and each trait will give bonuses as well, and they can't be discounted. It really is impossible to evaluate these cards with any accuracy.
Gnome Sage
The T1 Gnome Sage is Nosey and Studious with a Wit of 14 and an Awareness and Dexterity of 13. While more specialized than other cards, he does not seem specialized as a mage in the traditional sense. In most games Dexterity has no use for a mage and awareness usually has little battle. We can't assume this will be the case in Astral Entities games, and we can be sure to expect many surprises from either the first three games or the others that'll be released down the line.
Human Stalker
I absolutely adore this art, and I'm always thrilled to pull at T3. I have to admit, however, it's hard to get excited about these more versatile cards. The Human Stalker is Versatile, Agile, and Eagle eyed with an extremely even spread of stats with perseverance being his weakest stat. He has a decent agility of 14, but that's not overly impressive for a T3
Shadowborne Sage
Shadowborne Sage is a Stealthy and Studious T1 Mage, and her highest stat is Perseverance at 14 with 13 Ego being her second highest stat. Luck at 10 is her lowest stat with a pretty even spread of stats for what appears to be a more versatile stat spread.
Shadowborne Shaman
The Stealthy and Studious Shadowborne Shaman is the T2 Mage, and is essentially the same as the sage, but with more stat points and some amazing art. In the T2 version, she gains a point in Intelligence and a point in Dexterity. Her stat spread is pretty versatile and spread out in this tier as well, and it'll be exciting to see what role the traits and stats play in the games!
Gnome Hunter
The Nosey and Agile Gnome Trapper is a T2 Hunter he does not hunt with Might with only 9, but he's Agile, Dexterous, and witty with a strong sense of situational awareness. This seems like a pretty good min/maxed specialized Hunter. I'm very excited about the Gnome Hunter line of NFTs. These seem like pretty great stats for a hunter to have, and I'm excited to see if my prediction that Gnome Hunters are awesome comes to pass.
Elf Highwayman
This is my second T3 in this pack, and I have to say I am far more excited about the stat spread on the T3 Thief Elf Highwayman. With an astounding 16 Agility and 15 Awareness, it's safe to say that this Highwaywomen will be passing any Agility and Awareness checks in Hunter's Guild or Discordant Adventures. She's certainly a pretty specialized character for speed and situational awareness, and with the traits Fleet, Quick-Fingered, and Self-Preservation, it's probably going to be pretty tough to pin down this character.
Dwarf Spearman
The Dwarf Spearman is a T2 Defender with the traits Sturdy and Stalwart, and this Race/Class combination seems like a pretty well synergized combination. He has 15 Endurance, 14 Vitality, and an Unwavering Determination to HOLD THE LINE! It's pretty impressive to have a stat at 15 and 14 for a T2, so I'm pretty excited to see how this plays. My Min/Maxed Specialized bias is definitely showing through in these Daily Pack Overviews, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if I'm proven wrong by at least one of the games. That's the fun part about this being an entire universe of games-- each one can treat stats and traits differently. There may even be a game that doesn't use Endurance or Vitality, and this card would end up being quite poor in that game.
Human Wanderer
The Versatile and Agile Human Wanderer is a T1 Hunter and the personification of a yawn. His highest stat is 13 sprint in which Humanity has a pretty elevated stat bonus.
Shadowborne Wanderer
I'm starting to notice that all Shadowborne seem to be pretty unlucky. and the T1 Hunter, Shadowborne Wanderer is no exemption. She may only have 10 Luck, but she does have 13 speed, 13 Ego, and 5 stats at 12. It'll be interesting to see in play because it's a little harder to conceptualize the character in the more traditional RPG stats and classes. I'll be pretty excited to see how the Shadowborne play.
