My first Chaos Legion Card Pull

With much excitement that fateful day arrived with Chaos Legion was released and we could all open our packs!

Why did I take so long to talk about it?

I was busy moving still, yeah on the 8th of December I was still wrestling with furniture up and downstairs and rebuilding a queen-sized bed base. So cut me some slack! Haha!

Here they are in all their glory! My first ever Chaos Legion cards!

Ok... fine... not exactly awe-inspiring but this was still special to me! So what better than to celebrate it here on the blockchain?

I think out of these 5 cards the one I use the most must be the Mycelic Slipspawn. Sure, that is kind of meta but at 10 HP with taunt, it is the mainstay of most Earth squads right now that run with Obsidian.

I am wary of putting this card on the second or third spot due to Blast. So this is pretty much being used like the Shieldbearer from Life most of the time.

Funny that the game considers Mycelic Slipspawn, while it is a part literally of the base card set, and thus available to anyone to play. By the way, having (owning) one is still good.

And if I see that currently there are 20 683 cards in circulation from this card, then it is actually/really rare. There are cards with more than 100 000 cards in circulation.

I think owning a card is always better than just relying on the Base Spellbook. Also, even at low Silver, getting a lvl 2 summoner and some lvl 2 monsters really turns the tables when things come out really even in the choices.

But really... there is so much to choose from now (Especially when you own some Alpha/Beta cards)

I have 4x Slipspawns so 1x away from getting that +1 Health.... But I only have 3x Obsidian so need that in order to play the lvl2 Slipspawn. I have a Lvl 3 Lyanna Natura though...

I owned Beta cards in the past. That is how I started playing this game. I bought the Beta Starter Set on 2018.12.30 for $10 USD worth of Steem. Later I sold all of my Beta cards so I currently do not have Beta cards, but the game is still fun.

I still have most of my Alpha and Beta cards. I bought a bunch of packs back in the day using my Steem payouts hahaha. Then there was a 3 year gap and I missed the release of Untamed and the Lands sale.

Coming back to it all, all of a sudden my cards are worth a massive amount of money (compared to what I paid to get them).

If you would have came back a few months earlier, it would have been worth much more. The value of my total Splinterlands card collection fell from more than $900 USD to less than $500 USD in the past. Currently it is worth $444.71 USD.

It will go up again. It's only down because there is greater abundance. This is good so the game can have more players and players can advance up in tiers.

Once the abundance is sold out, value will scale up again as abundance becomes less and less.
