Economy Feels Bad
Ended up turning a 107% profit on a stock because congress jusf decided to finally ban Russian uranium. Have held the stock for years just as a "this is why you don't day trade". I still hear the phrase "those young people don't want to work any more" periodically, and I have to resist the urge to pull up unemployment numbers every time. Old people don’t understand anything but the news.Paul Krugman seems to be perpetually confused about why sentiment on the economy is bad. He thinks that "economy feels bad" is a right wing conspiracy essentially. In reality inflation has been under reported. Anyone who goes to restaurants or pays for gas or buys a car or a house will tell you that cumulative inflation has been much larger than 26% since 2020.It's closer to 40%Mcdonalds +105%, all the fast food places New cars payments insane. You want your roof done? You're payin like at least 40% more. Stocks are +50%, all assets really. You know what's not +40%?Wages
And so ppl post online "wow really doesn't feel like things are great rn" and they get called right wing conspiracies by economists in Washington DC. "Wow unemployment so low!"
Yet more ppl are working 2 jobs to be able to keep up.
