Autovault in MoonKarts? - Your Fuel Source

In Moon Karts, fuel is everything. Without it, you can’t race. The Auto Vault is your passive fuel generator: by staking unused cards, you continuously accumulate fuel over time. The rarer and more synergistic your staked cards, the faster your fuel accrual.

But it isn’t as simple as staking and forgetting. There’s a minimum staking time: if you attempt to remove cards too early, you’ll trigger a cooldown, barring those cards from further use until the cooldown elapses. The fuel generation is calculated by summing up each card’s rate, and more desirable cards lead to better returns.

To unlock more staking slots in the Auto Vault, you must stake Script tokens—the stablecoin of the Arcade Colony ecosystem. Every extra card slot requires staking at least 10 Scripts. Over time, you’ll be able to upgrade the Auto Vault itself—using both Scripts and COLONY tokens—to increase capacity and fuel output.

Fuel, however, has its limitations. Your avatar has a fuel storage cap, so any overflow is lost. This means it’s wise to use fuel actively, or ensure your storage is upgraded.

Also, more advanced or rarer cards used in your racing deck consume more fuel.

Academy in MoonKarts (Not Yet Live)

Now, let’s talk about the Academy — a feature “coming soon” that mimics the vault model but focuses on Airdrop Points. In this system, you stake cards (similarly to the Auto Vault) to earn non-transferable Airdrop Points over time. Those points will then be redeemed for airdrops: drivers, boosters, car parts, etc. Importantly, when you actually receive an airdrop, the corresponding Airdrop Points are deducted from your balance.

As an expert observer, my advice: think long term. Balance your deck between cards that perform in races and those that generate fuel. Always monitor your fuel cap so you don’t waste earnings. And as the Academy rolls out, strategize which cards to stake there versus in the Vault. Used wisely, Auto Vault and Academy will become cornerstones in your Moon Karts progression.
