Time to show off the lil beauty that I won in our friendly @summertooth giveaway a bit back. Bloody love this coin, and the value is way more than I thought so now I feel bad that he got nothing out of this deal 😭

Looking on the ol Ebay, this coin is selling around the £15 to £20 odd mark. So I definitely now feel even worse!

This is a 1/2 Dollar 90% silver coin referred to as the Walking Liberty. This is pretty sweet for a number of reasons.

  1. I didn't own this coin before I won it
  2. It's 90% Silver
  3. It was free, that's just freaking awesome!

Reverse of the coin: An Eagle with it's wings spread. The value of the coin is underneath.

Value: 50 Cents
Currency: Dollar
Silver: 90%
Weight: 12.5 grams
Diameter: 30.6mm
Thickness: 2.15mm

These coins started in 1916 and finished in 1947. The design is pretty amazing and considering it's age this beauty is still looking great.
Sorry for the terrible pictures and the really messy desk. no matter how much I clean this mat it never gets perfectly clean.

With my growing collection of silver, this coin has made me start looking at other coins that aren't full 1oz silver coins.

I am so tempted to start buying the Zombucks coins as well. But at the moment I need to calm as I have a small bundle coming soon that I spent way more on it than I thought I would.
But that's a post for another day.
