Queen of Crows - Splinterlands Art Contest 339

Saludos nuevamente amigo de Splinterlands!

Espero haya sido un buen y tranquilo fin de semana, yo aproveche el día para pintar mi ilustración para la recién iniciada ronda de Concurso de Arte de Splinterlands y para esta ocasión decidí dibujar a Marissa Maewyn, mejor conocida como Queen of Crows una maga con una habilidad bastante peculiar de poder entender a los cuervos y que obedezcan a sus ordenes, según su Lore esta es una habilidad que la acompañado desde niña razón por la cual fue victima de ostracismo por parte de los habitantes de su villa.

I hope you had a nice and peaceful weekend, I took advantage of the day to paint my illustration for the recently started round of Splinterlands Art Contest and for this occasion I decided to draw Marissa Maewyn, better known as Queen of Crows a mage with a peculiar ability to understand crows and make them obey her orders, according to her Lore this is an ability that accompanied her since she was a child, reason why she was ostracized by the inhabitants of her village.

Marissa desde muy joven fue una entusiasta de las artes oscuras y especialmente obsesionada con el poder de La Encantadora Oscura, tanta fue su ambición de poder y formar parte de la Legión Oscura y seguir los pasos del Señor de las tinieblas que los habitantes del pueblo comenzaron a temer y planearon irrumpir en su casa y acabar con ella, en ese atentado terminaron muriendo sus padres y desataron la furia de Marissa, quien ordeno a sus cuervos asesinar a los responsables y todos los demás del pueblo.
La historia de Marissa es bastante perturbadora, pero yo quise dibujar un lado mas tranquilo y sosegado, mientras fascinada leía y memorizaba los textos de los libros de encantamientos a la luz de una pequeña vela , por supuesto al lado de sus fieles compañeros los cuervos, también decidí situarla en una de las habitaciones de su casa.

Marissa from a very young age was an enthusiast of the dark arts and especially obsessed with the power of The Dark Enchantress, so much was her ambition for power and to be part of the Dark Legion and follow in the footsteps of the Lord of Darkness that the villagers began to fear and planned to break into her house and kill her, in that attack ended up killing her parents and unleashed the fury of Marissa, who ordered her ravens to kill those responsible and everyone else in the village.
Marissa's story is quite disturbing, but I wanted to draw a more calm and peaceful side, while fascinated she read and memorized the texts of the books of enchantments by the light of a small candle, of course next to her faithful companions the crows, I also decided to place her in one of the rooms of her house.

Luego procedí a colocar la base de color, el traje de Marissa esta es casi en su mayoría morado, con algunos detalles dorados, yo añadí también un cinturón, el libro y unas botas de cuero, para los cuervos un gris bastante oscuro y el fondo en tonos cafés y grises. luego que me decidí por esta paleta, continué con el coloreado, añadiendo algunas sombras en su piel y cabello, decidi entonces dibujar varios cabellos sueltos para dar una apariencia mas despeinada a Marissa.
seguidamente coloree su vestido, añadiendo igualmente las luces y las sombras y dándole textura de tela definiendo algunos pliegues, así mismo definí los sutiles detalles dorados.
En cuanto a los cuervos solo añadí algunas sombras y coloree brillantes y saltones ojos amarillos.

I then proceeded to place the base color, Marissa's outfit is almost mostly purple, with some gold details, I also added a belt, the book and some leather boots, for the crows a fairly dark gray and the background in shades of brown and gray. After I decided on this palette, I continued with the coloring, adding some shadows on her skin and hair, then I decided to draw some loose hair to give a more tousled look to Marissa.
then I colored her dress, adding also the lights and shadows and giving it a fabric texture defining some folds, I also defined the subtle golden details.
As for the crows I just added some shadows and colored in bright, bulging yellow eyes.

Lo siguiente fue el fondo, comencé por la mesa a su lado definiendo su inusual candelabro, un matraz con alguna sustancia que ella misma destilo y un tapete bordado con una calavera de un cuervo, para las paredes decidí hacer un tapiz con algún patrón floral pero en tonos opacos, al fondo en la ventana que da al exterior algunos pinos bajo un cielo estrellado, quería hacer mas elementos en la habitación, pero estaba indecisa que colocar y en su lugar termina por excluir el banco al lado de la escoba.

Next was the background, I started with the table next to her defining her unusual candelabra, a flask with some substance that she distilled herself and a rug embroidered with a skull of a crow, for the walls I decided to make a tapestry with some floral pattern but in opaque tones, in the background at the window facing outside some pine trees under a starry sky, I wanted to make more elements in the room, but I was undecided what to place and instead end up excluding the bench next to the broom.

Y finalmente este ha sido el resultado de mi ilustración de la semana para el concurso de Splinterlands, estoy contenta porque me rindió bastante el tiempo y me gusto mucho el resultado de la Reina de los Cuervos, como esta leyendo fue inevitable para mi dibujarle unos lentes, en fin espero que esta nueva ilustración sea de su agrado!

And finally this has been the result of my illustration of the week for the Splinterlands contest, I'm happy because I had enough time and I really liked the result of the Raven Queen, as she is reading it was inevitable for me to draw her some glasses, I hope this new illustration is to your liking!
