What Drives Your Earnings

Moon Karts’ reward formula hinges on four core elements:

• Skill: Winning races and performing well in rank/ELO metrics.

• Time invested: Regular participation in races and leaderboards.

• NFT Quality: Using high-tier karts, drivers, and parts to increase your multipliers.

• Staking governance tokens (COLONY): Users who stake COLONY amplify their rewards.

Unless you bring together several of these factors, you’ll find your earnings lagging behind those optimizing all four.

How COLONY Rewards Are Distributed

Moon Karts receives a fixed daily allotment of COLONY tokens from Arcade Colony, and divides them into different pools:

The Seasonal Pool is particularly interesting: every 10 days, players’ placement on leaderboards is “snapshotted,” so sustained performance across that cycle yields rewards, not just single race wins. This increases incentive to play consistently.

Ways to Earn

Players can gain COLONY tokens through multiple channels:

• Racing: Pick up COLONY tokens directly on the track and finish the race while holding them (losing them or losing the race nullifies that gain).

• Leaderboard performance (Ranking Pool + Seasonal): ELO rankings daily and seasonally reward top players.

• Orbitals: Collecting Orbitals on track, multiplied by the quality of your setup, which puts you into separate Orbitals leaderboards. More Orbitals = bigger share.

Referrals & Other Features

Moon Karts also runs a Referral Program:

• Players get a unique invite code (or link). If a referred player spends US$20+ in-game (using fiat or non-Arcade Colony tokens), that counts as one referral point. Further spending continues to generate additional points per each $20 spent.

• The Referral Pool (5% of total daily COLONY rewards) gets split proportionally among referrers based on their points.

• There are caps: any individual account can’t receive more than 0.5% of the total daily Rewards Pool, or 10% of the Referral Pool, per day. Unclaimed referral tokens roll over to subsequent days.

Lastly, a planned future feature: Moon Domes. These are player-owned racetracks; races held in your Moon Dome will allocate 10% of race-earned tokens to the Dome’s owner.
