Doors: Paradox

Yesterday I read this Doors Paradox (the PC version) review from @seryi13, and he mentioned in the post that there is a completely free mobile version of this game. Today I decided to try it.

The first thing I noticed that not all levels are playable, and there is an option to unlock all levels with no ads (so there are advertisements too in the game). The unlock would cost 3590 Hungarian Forint (HUF), which is currently $9.19 USD, because $1 USD is currently 390.72 HUF. Of course I am not going to pay. I do not know whether we can unlock the locked levels by playing, but if not, then I am not going to play on them. I do not like it, but most Android games are using this business model (pay for certain levels and for other things).

I started the game with the first (Tropical Escape) level, and with the first map (The Lighthouse).

In addition to finding tools, gems and other things, there are messages too. The first is like a welcome message from the game.

The goal on each map is to open the doors by solving the puzzles. The first map was very easy.

The second map was also very easy.

By the way, there was another message on the second level.

So the name of the cat we met on the first level is Zula. I believe you Zula (when I am the "Child of Order", and you are the "messenger of Chaos"). Haha. Probably this (the relationship between us and Zula) will be funnier on the next next levels, but I have not played those levels so far, and I do not want to write spoilers anyway.

The game asked me to give a review (rate them) after I finished the second level.

I have not rated them (nor anything else) on Google Play so far, but I decided to write this short review.

My rating of this game

Basic concept: Finding and using tools. 8/10. Makes you think. And it is very good on the touchscreen, but the in-game screen is not rotating, if you rotate your smartphone. Maybe this is different on tablets. Currently I do not own a tablet, but some of my friends have tablets. I have not tried this game on their tablets so far.
Gameplay and enjoyment: 7/10. Because of the above mentioned reason, and for the fact that there are video advertisements. I have seen one video advertisement so far. After I finished the second level. The controlling of the game, including moving the camera is easy. Moving and using the tools and things are still easy and convenient. There are achievements too, which I have not seen so far, because the Google Play Games is currently not installed on my smartphone (it is not required for the most of the games I play).

Graphics: 10/10. I like it very much. The tools and the things are easy to notice in the game.
Sounds, background music: 8/10. Good, enjoyable, but the volume is very low. At least on my current smartphone (Samsung Galaxy A12).

My overall rating of this game would be 7/10.

I would say good luck and have fun, but the luck is not needed in this game. You need to think to solve the puzzles.

So good luck.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

On PC the levels are also locked and as you play you unlock them. Even so it's a shame about the ads, they are usually very annoying in mobile games 😶.

These types of games are entertaining because of the mental challenge that is exercised when solving them, they are very entertaining.
