Playing Heroes of the Storm again after four years (2022.04.12)

Feels very good to return to my old favorite video games. This is the third game I downloaded to my HP 15s laptop. My previous Heroes of The Storm match was on 2018.05.12. Today I started playing it again. Four years is a long time.

This game also runs properly on this laptop. From my initial experience, the Heroes of The Storm is even harder with the touchpad than the League of Legends. Actually it is almost impossible to play this game with the touchpad. I really need a mouse.

Today I played an ARAM match on the Industrial District map. Yes. This MOBA game has multiple maps, and every map has their own goals/objectives.

It was a defeat, of course. A very huge defeat. Nearly impossible to play this game with the touchpad.

One thing to notice in this game is that the ratio in this game is not K/D/A, but K/A/D. Kills, Assists, Deaths.

Mine is 0/4/10 in this match. This match is probably one of my worst MOBA matches of all time. :D

Our team achieved five kills. The enemy team achieved 25 kills. This match lasted for 9 minutes 14 seconds.

Despite the very huge defeat, it is good that I earned both gold and experience too, which contributes to the progress of my player level (currently 81), and to the level of the hero (Alarak) I played with (currently level one).

I always had a complicated relationship with this game. When I played it for the first time many years ago I could not understand it very well, I was not very clear about the objectives, plus it worked very poorly on my toaster hahaha.

But the characters seem to me a 10, there were several with a great design and incredible skills. And as an Overwatch fan it made me happy to see a few characters from that here haha 😁.

The character design is indeed very good in this game, and there are characters from multiple games. My current favorite is Falstad from the Warcraft universe, and I do not even play Warcraft. Haha. 😂

Okay, I played a few Warcraft games a few times, but those were many years ago. Speaking of Overwatch, I have not tried that game so far, but of course I heard about it, and I saw a few videos about it. There are many good games out there to try.

HOTS is one of my favorite games, and I've been constantly playing it with a few friends. We like to say that we're 20% of the player base, considering that we always end up playing with the same players over and over.

It's a shame that hots has a so small playerbase, specially on ranked games. I'm currently Diamond, and on my matches I get put together with Platinum but also with Masters. So the games are usually one-sided, eg the one with a Masters player rolfstomp the other. Sad.

Probably I have not tried ranked in Heroes of The Storm so far. At least I currently do not remember trying it. Probably I will try it in the near future, so probably we will meet in the game.
