I play Splinterlands again, but it is still too (frustratingly) hard to play (2023.09.10)

After many (I currently do not even know how many) months of pause, I play Splinterlands again, but it is still too (frustratingly) hard to play.

I tried only the Modern game mode this time, because I heard that it is easier than the Wild game mode.

Today I went from the Novice League to the Bronze III League, but Splinterlands is still too (frustratingly) hard to play. The game gives mostly much higher rated enemies, and I do not even have a chance to win in these cases.

For example my latest battle, which was my 100th Modern battle, was against @xidao, who currently have 896 rating. He have level 2-3 cards. I currently have 115 rating. I have only the base set of cards.

Splinterlands really should receive some kind of fine tuning. At least its matchmaking system. I would not think that anyone would think that the current system is fair.

This is very sad, because Splinterlands was one of my favorite games a few years ago. If I count the Wild Splinterlands battles in the past, then I played more than 12 000 battles so far.

Playing against eight or nine times higher rated players? How would be that fair? The current matchmaking system in Splinterlands is really ruining the fun.

I really hope that the matchmaking system of Splinterlands will receive some kind of tweak in the near future.

If the game would bring similar, or only slightly higher rated players as enemies, then that would be fair and enjoyable.

Good luck in your battles. It can be hard to battle against tougher competition.

Especially playing against eight or nine times tougher enemies. The enemy have level 2-3 cards, while I have the level 1 base set of cards. This matchmaking system is really unfair and demotivating.

I do not know how long I will play Splinterlands this time. Maybe soon I will take another break.

It's easier in wild is what I hear. With a couple of rentals, I maintain bronze1 rank. But definitely harder then in the past!
