Splinterlands Social Media Challenge : Speed (Barthalamas) vs Health (Aurelia) In a 29 Mana Cap Battle
Hello Splinterland Warlocks,
My latest Splinterlands battle came of with just a 29 Mana Cap with the usual Standard Rule. No long twists, just pure strategic choice of army elements.
🔹 My Line-up
#Summoner-Barthalamas
Since this was a low Mana Cap battle I thought it wise to use the fastest team so I can have the privilege of executing at a faster pace. I didn’t want to play the defense tactics since it was low Mana Cap. And Barthalamas happens to give +1 Speed buff to monster units. I know for sure that speed will be very essential in this battle. This can make a difference between surviving another round or falling sooner than we can think off.
- Scales of Justice; on the first position is a durable frontline with good speed and health to withstand the opponent’s army especially the melee attackers.
- Chaos Furybringer; second on the list is my power house melee attacker Chaos Furybringer. This monster has a sneak attack ability with just 2 counts of health. Deals -2 melee damage.
- Vengeful Monk; on the third position is Vengeful Monk, a melee attacker with health of 4, and has the opportunity ability. Good to be a supporter for some time.
- Ash Archer; a range attacker in the last position, with a true hit and a decent health. Giving support from the back.
My Opponents lineup
#Sumonner-Aurelia
My opponent chose Aurelia a summoner with +1 health to all member units. They chose the road to survive longer. It was a tougher battle since I had to go the hard way cutting through even tougher frontline.
- Dread Tafarian ; a very dangerous melee attacker with 7 health and a decent Armor. Very good for absorbing punishments.
- Vicious Quilliun; a melee threat with extra survivability thanks to Summoner Aurelia
- Grand Consul Minion; A support unit for the team positioned in the middle line.
- Kanaaq Miner; a sneak ability giving him the upper hand over my back line. Such a threat this monster was to me and my team.
Ruleset: No change to standard ruleset and a Mana Cap of 29
The Battle Breakdown
As expected, my team was very quick and swift in dealing severe damages to the opponents. Chaos with the sneak made the first strike making the others rally behind. hat early strike weakened Dread Tafarian but with the restore ability, it was able to revive some sizable amount of health.
Meanwhile, Kanaaq Miner, driving straight into my backline with an unexpected strike to my fragile monster at the back, Ash Archer. But this only worsen the case, my team quickly turned the table around, dealing all kinds of strikes to the opponents team. Grand Consul Minion was no where to be found just after some few exchanges.
Scales of Justice standing strong in the frontline. Just absorbing all the hits coming his way. His Dodge ability plus the speed really making him a strong force to reckon with. Dread was taken down just when we did enter into the round 3. Making way for the rest to smash gradually.
Meanwhile all my team still life remaining in team even though the opponent’s team had extra health from the Archon. Not only Scales of Justice was the fastest by almost all the team had this same ability. Making them swerve most of the attacks coming in from the other side. A fatal ending for the opponents team by the end of this battle. #Team-Speed victorious over #Team-Health
Thanks and hope you enjoyed this weeks social media challenge from me showcasing my recent battle against a tougher team with a higher health.
