When asked to introduce myself in writing. It always feels boring to go through the format of my name... Which by the way is Whitney Alexander, Where I'm from? Why I'm here? My hobbies... and if I'm worth the time of day of your precious time.
The last part is out of my jurisdiction as it is up to you to decide whether or not my interests in life align in a tiny little way or more with your interests.
Music has different genres of which an individual could take a liking to one or a few, as for me my love for music has me taking a liking to all genres of music which must be interesting of course; that one can hardly read my persona through my choice of music.
From this retrogression, you might think my work activity should fall into the category of music. Nah... Totally off the trail. Come to think of it, could there be a semblance 🤔 let's find out;
In no particular order, I am a fashion designer with a flair for writing, a science student who loves maths with a bachelor's degree in accounting and a vast reader who enjoys tutoring kids in its entirety, more frequently in mathematics and English language. A mouthful right?
Young lady pick one already, how can you be interested in all these? You can't be a master of any. So not true. My life will stand as proof to sway you from that school of thought because you are capable of a whole lot and should not be limited by what we so loosely spill 'jack of all trades, master of non' You can indeed be a master of all when you give each one, their due attention with a clause 'more time is necessary to attain mastery'. Mastery is attained nonetheless.
All said and done what country could this gorgeous lady come from?

I hope you have fun and can use these tips.
I found your account because I got a message you are new, and because the beginning can be difficult I swung by with some tips.
You took the step to become a blogger and that’s great. I like to welcome you to the Hive blockchain and platform. A very extensive platform of fun and words.
As of now you are a hiver or newBee as we are calling ourselves. This moment is perfect to give some tips and help you get started.
Also maybe you used the #introduceyourself tag and more hivers come with tips and tricks so the first steps won’t be that difficult. Still take your time because we are so diverse it will take some time to understand and earn.
I was welcomed with good advice too when I started so here I am just returning the favour. I know that Hive may seem very overwhelming right now but don't worry. After a few blogs and write ups you will be a great blogger and contributor, just stay away from texts that aren’t yours.
A great tip is getting discord. Discord will for sure help you and get you talking to other hivers without going to comments on blogs. It’s free and quick and alongside hive very helpful to have. If you don’t have discord already view this blog:

Very important is to never give up any off your passwords , they are yours! Never give them up!!
To blog I use Peakd and Ecency .
Ecency also has an App , I use it and it is great, it gives you insight on what is happening in your account, and on my phone I am never behind on the things I want to see or read.

In terms of your journey on Hive, look out for communities that interest you. You might for example like Freewriters which is a community of writers. They have some weekly contests where you can get some exposure to your posts and build your presence.
There are also some tribes like the Alive tribe that have their own tokens alongside Hive. Alive celebrate life and also have loads of different community challenges.
There are so many though, and it you can keep discovering new things. There are of course blockchain games on Hive too if you like gaming.
In terms of Discord, you don't strictly need to chat on Discord to have a life on Hive but if you want to interact with people then Discord can be a welcome addition.
Once you get your Discord account setup, you need to find invite to a Discord group that is of interest. There are many community Discord groups.
With your question on linking usernames, there is no real way to do that. My discord username just happens to be @awah but that is so people can find me easily. They aren't really "linked". And by the way, in Discord you need to find people in groups to be able to talk to them. So if for example you join the Alive Discord group you will find me there (and serveral others)
