Splinterlands Art Contest Week 313 | Olivia of the Brook

Hello Everyone!

I made a portrait of Olivia of the Brook as my entry for this week's Splinterlands art contest. I've been absent a lot from this art contest, and this time entering with a different art style again. Haha

Art Process:

Sketch

Blocking the lights and shadow

Smudge the parts where the shadow should be soft and keep the other parts that need to be sharp based on the reference. And throughout this art drawing, I'll keep going with this process.

I painted the parts where the light was brighter and also added the darker shadows, and again smudged them.

I painted the other features of the face, such as the eyes, and also rendered the lips.

I painted the other details of Olivia. In the hair, I used the round brush and just painted it following its general shape and then added textures of flowing hairs. On her flower crown, I used a textured brush instead of painting each leaf as on the reference. I then merged all the layers so I could adjust the proportions with a liquefy tool and painted some refinements and highlights. I also changed the background and Olivia's position on the canvas.
