Behind the art of "INDUCTION OF REASON" new NFTSHOWROOM drop by @web-gnar

I wanted to share my process for making looping animated GIF NTF artworks.

for this post I am sharing my "painting" called Induction of Reason.

After having made several animated avatar NFTs for various art organizations i have discovered that it is much harder to create abstract animated NFTs. for a physical painting, you want the eye to continue to circulate around the picture plane. When you begin to move the objects the eye becomes more controlled and less is left for the viewer to experience on their own.

for the title, i can not explain to you how it popped into my head.

but after it did, i looked up what in the world it means.

...from the individual to the universal...

i like that part. so i decided to keep the name.

this piece includes a combination of a physical painting, a looping deconstruction of another physical painting, and floating assets from another physical painting from about 5 years ago.

This painting is actually Untitled and sold to a woman who lives nearby my studio in Garfield Park. I took this image into photoshop and cut out the pieces that you see moving and put them all on their own layers. When it was a multi-layered photoshop file, i imported it into After effects and made the shapes move forward and backwards in Z-space.

I then put this animation behind it...

it's actually from a combination of two paintings that were stolen by a friend.

then i added these floating assets from another painting.
