When it comes to dealing damage, the Melee Mayhem rule is one of my favorites in Splinterlands because I can use several monsters with melee attacks and they are the most powerful for dealing damage.

In the Melee Mayhem rule, monsters with melee attacks can attack in any position.

To show how powerful monsters with melee attacks are, I will use a battle as an example.

This is a great example of a battle and as you can see, most of my monsters have melee attacks, with the exception of 1, but he will be very useful for my strategy because he has the Inspire ability and this means that he will increase the melee attack of all allied monsters by +1, this monster is River Hellondale.

To defend myself in the first position, I chose Djinn Chwala, a monster from the dragon deck that is very useful against monsters with melee attacks since it has the Thorns ability and since there was the Melee Mayhem rule in the battle, I believed that my opponent would also use several monsters with melee attacks and that Djinn Chwala would be the best option for this position.

All the other monsters I selected were chosen with the intention of causing damage, so they all have a lot of melee attacks and become even stronger with the help of River Hellondale's Inspire ability, especially Carnage Titan, a monster from the dragon deck that has a lot of melee attacks and can attack twice per round.

Since my focus was on causing damage, this battle didn't last long and I only needed 5 rounds to emerge victorious. However, I have to admit that my opponent's strategy was also very good and his monsters caused a lot of damage, but in the end it wasn't enough to defeat me and only 1 of my monsters was defeated. For this reason, I like to invest in monsters with melee attacks when the Melee Mayhem rule is in place in the battle.

In addition to the Melee Mayhem rule, there was also the Holy Protection rule. In this rule, all monsters in the battle receive the Divine Shield ability, which means that the first attack they receive will be 0 damage. After that, the Divine Shield is lost and the monster starts to receive damage normally.

I think the only change I would make in this battle would be to replace the summoner Quix the Devious with the summoner Daria Dragonscale, so that my melee monsters would have an even more powerful melee attack.

Esse é um ótimo exemplo de batalha e como vocês podem ver a maioria dos meus monstros possuem ataque melee, com exceção de 1 mas ele será muito útil para a minha estratégia porque ele possui a Inspire ability e isso significa que ele vai aumentar em +1 o ataque melee de todos os monstros aliados, esse monstro é o River Hellondale.

Para me defender na primeira posição eu escolho o Djinn Chwala, um monstro do deck de dragão que é muito útil contra monstros com ataque melee já que ele possui a Thorns ability e como existia a regra Melee Mayhem na batalha então eu acreditei que o meu adversário também iria utilizar vários monstros com ataque melee e que o Djinn Chwala seria a melhor opção para essa posição.

Todos os outros monstros que selecionei foram escolhidos com a intenção de causar dano, então todos possuem muito ataque melee e ficam ainda mais forte com a ajuda da Inspire ability do River Hellondale, principalmente o Carnage Titan um monstro do deck de dragão que possui muito ataque melee e que consegue atacar 2x por round.

Como o meu foco era causar dano então essa batalha não durou muito tempo e eu só precisei de 5 rounds para sair vitorioso, mas tenho que admitir que a estratégia do meu adversário também era muito boa e os monstros dele causavam muito dano, mas no final não foi o suficiente para me derrotar e apenas 1 dos meus monstros foi derrotado e por esse motivo eu gosto de investir em monstros com ataque melee quando existe a regra Melee Mayhem na batalha.

Além da regra Melee Mayhem também existia a regra Holy Protection, nessa regra todos os monstros na batalha recebem a Divine Shield ability e isso significa que o primeiro ataque que o primeiro dano que eles receberem vai ser 0, após isso o Divine Shield é perdido e o monstro passa a receber dano normalmente.

Acho que a única mudança que eu faria nessa batalha seria substituir o summoner Quix the Devious pela summoner Daria Dragonscale, assim meu monstros melee teriam ataque melee ainda mais poderoso.
