Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
Shock Trooper

Shock Trooper is one of the Soulbound Reward Rebellion Edition pieces. He and some Epic units are given sizable stats even with a small amount of mana. However, it also comes with a side effect that makes it only usable in certain situations.
In the case of Shock Trooper, the side effect is the ELECTRIFIED ability. This ability gives a 1 HP reduction to all units at the end of each round. Although not too big, this is quite detrimental to other units that become the target of the opponent's units' attacks. In addition, ELECTRIFIED
can also be detrimental if used in conjunction with the use of units that have low HP.
At the third level, Shock Trooper receives an additional SWIFTNESS ability that gives an additional 1 SPEED to all units. While at its maximum level (6), it gets the MAGIC REFLECT
ability that can restore attacks if it receives damage from the opponent's magic unit. This ability is quite useful for Shock Trooper, which is also a Magic unit, because with this ability, Shock Trooper can counter attacks from the opponent's magic unit when in battles that only allow the use of Magic units or when the opponent focuses more on Magic Attack.
Battle
The ruleset for this battle is AIMLESS (All units have additional SCATTERSHOT
capability), LITTLE LEAGUE
(Only units with Mana of no more than 4 points are allowed), and SILENCED SUMMONERS
(Summoners cannot use their abilities).
In the first round, Naga Assassin attacked River Nymph. Pelacor Bandit damaged Naga Assassin*'s ARMOR, while Kulu Swimhunter damaged Runeseer Sevaya's ARMOR. Shock Trooper and Angelic Mandarin defeated Kulu Swimhunter.
Merdhampir damaged Angelic Mandarin's ARMOR, while Tide Biter damaged Cruel Sethropod's ARMOR (which was later repaired by Runeseer Sevaya). River Nymph targeted her attack at Shock Trooper. The Cruel Sethropod from both sides attacked each other.
At the start of the second round, all my units lost 1 HP due to the effects of Shock Trooper's ELECTRIFIED . Naga Assassin briefly attacks Merdhampir before being defeated by Pelacor Bandit. Merdhampir and Tide Biter attacked my Cruel Sethropod.
Shock Trooper defeated River Nymph. Angelic Mandarin healed Shock Trooper's HP, then he tried to direct his attack at Pelacor Bandit but missed. Meanwhile, Mar Toren Trader managed to hit Tide Biter. Runeseer Sevaya had repaired Cruel Sethropod's ARMOR but was damaged again when Cruel Sethropod attacked from both sides.
At the start of the third round, all of my units took damage again from the ELECTRIFIED ability. Luckily, the attack from Pelacor Bandit failed to hit Angelic Mandarin, giving me time to heal Runeseer Sevaya and attack my opponent's Cruel Sethropod. Shock Trooper managed to defeat Tide Biter.
Merdhampir attacked Angelic Mandarin, while Mar Toren Trader failed to land its attack on Pelacor Bandit. Runeseer Sevaya was able to repair Cruel Sethropod's ARMOR, so mine only lost ARMOR compared to my opponent's, who had to lose some HP when Cruel Sethropod from both sides attacked each other.
At the start of the fourth round, all my units took damage again from ELECTRIFIED abilities. And this time Pelacor Bandit managed to defeat Angelic Mandarin. Meanwhile, Merdhampir damaged Mar Toren Trader's ARMOR. Mar Toren Trader defeated the opponent's Cruel Sethropod.
Shock Trooper directed his attack at Merdhampir, while Cruel Sethropod failed to hurt Pelacor Bandit who now occupied the first position.
At the start of the fifth round, Mar Toren Trader became the first casualty after his last HP was depleted due to his ELECTRIFIED ability. Merdhampir was defeated by Shock Trooper, while Cruel Sethropod and Pelacor Bandit failed to hurt each other. Runeseer Sevaya repaired Cruel Sethropod's ARMOR.
In the final round, Pelacor Bandit damaged Cruel Sethropod's ARMOR before being defeated by Shock Trooper and Cruel Sethropod.
Battle Review
Using Shock Trooper turns out to be quite risky in the LITTLE LEAGUE ruleset. Because most units that have low Mana also have little HP. It is proven that some of them were defeated by the opponent's units because they were previously affected by the effects of ELECTRIFIED or indeed they lost due to the effects of the ability.
Luckily, I brought along units that have debuffs for magic and range units (Angelic Mandarin and Mar Toren Trader). I also brought Runeseer Sevaya, which gives an additional 2 ARMOR to all units so that attacks from the opponent's Melee and Range units do not immediately reduce the HP of my units.
Those are the kinds of things I discussed in this Social Media Challenge. Thank you for reading to the end, and see you in other discussions in next week's Social Media Challenge.
