The ruleset for this battle is WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU (All units receive an additional ENRAGE ability), LOST MAGIC (Magic units cannot be used in this ruleset), and ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? (1 Gladius unit can be used in this ruleset).

In the bonus round, Chaos Jailer directs his attack at Heloise the Hollow and gives him a poison effect.

In the first round, Heloise the Hollow lost due to the effects of the poison she received in the previous round and the attacks launched by Lira the Dark. However, Heloise the Hollow used the SPITE ability and managed to defeat Lira the Dark. Heloise the Hollow resurrected using the SOUL SIPHON ability while Lira the Dark was resurrected by Astral Entity using the RESURRECT ability.

Ever-Hungry Skull and Junker managed to damage Harklaw's ARMOR, but were repaired by the opponent's Junker. Unfortunately, Harklaw and Junker failed to land their attacks on Ever-Hungry Skull. Similarly, Venmoor Haunt failed to damage Night Ghoul's ARMOR.

Venka the Vile attacks Night Ghoul but the damage she takes is minimized with the FORCEFIELD ability. Chaos Jailer and Queen of Crows attack Heloise the Hollow.

In the second round, Lira the Dark defeated Heloise the Hollow again. But managed to avoid the counterattack from Heloise the Hollow who relied on the SPITE ability. Heloise the Hollow bounced back using the SOUL SIPHON ability but was attacked again by Chaos Jailer who also gave her a poison effect. (Queen of Crows failed to harm her)

Ever-Hungry Skull and Junker damaged Harklaw's ARMOR again, but it was repaired by the opponent's Junker. Harklaw and Junker failed to land their attacks on Ever-Hungry Skull. Venka the Vile and Vermoor Haunt failed to land their attacks on Night Ghoul.

In the third round, Lira the Dark failed to defeat Heloise the Hollow. But the task was done by Queen of Crows and made her take heavy damage from the counterattack launched by Heloise the Hollow who used the SPITE ability. The resurrected Heloise the Hollow was attacked by Chaos Jailer.

Harklaw could not land his attack on Ever-Hungry Skull, while Ever-Hungry Skull and Junker damaged Harklaw's ARMOR. Venka the Vile failed to harm Night Ghoul while Vermoor Haunt managed to damage his ARMOR.

In the fourth round, Lira the Dark, **Queen of Crows, and Chaos Jailer failed to land their attacks on Heloise the Hollow. Ever-Hungry Skull and Junker attacked Harklaw.

Harklaw managed to land his attack on Ever-Hungry Skull, but he took damage from Ever-Hungry Skull's THORNS ability. Venka the Vile and Heloise the Hollow failed to deal damage to Night Ghoul, while Vermoor Haunt managed to damage Night Ghoul's ARMOR.

In the fifth round, Lira the Dark defeated Heloise the Hollow again and managed to avoid his SPITE ability. Heloise the Hollow got up using her SOUL SIPHON ability, but she was attacked again by Queen of Crows and Chaos Jailer and received a poison effect.

Ever-Hungry Skull and Junker attack Harklaw, while Vermoor Haunt and Venka the Vile attack Night Ghoul.

In the sixth round, Heloise the Hollow lost to the effects of the poison she received in the previous round and revived using her SOUL SIPHON ability. Lira the Dark defeated her again and avoided using her SPITE ability. Heloise the Hollow was resurrected by Astral Entity using the RESURRECT ability. Queen of Crows defeated her but was defeated by Heloise the Hollow's SPITE ability.

The opponent's Junker repaired Harklaw's ARMOR, but he failed to land his attack on Ever-Hungry Skull. Ever-Hungry Skull, Junker, and Chaos Jailer attacked Harklaw. Harklaw damaged Ever-Hungry Skull's ARMOR but he lost due to THORNS ability. Venka the Vile failed to harm Night Ghoul.

Battle Review

This was the first time I faced Heloise the Hollow and to be honest, she is quite a dangerous unit if the target does not have ARMOR and FORCEFIELD abilities. And in this battle, the use of Heloise the Hollow on the opposing team could be considered successful, if only she didn't face my formation this time.

We both use Astral Entity, which has the DODGE ability to reduce the accuracy of attacks from Melee and Range units due to the LOST MAGIC ruleset. The WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU ruleset also impacts both teams as they receive ENRAGE , which increases ATTACK POWER and SPEED in exchange for losing a small amount of HP.

The selection of Heloise the Hollow could have been appropriate if the opponent had provided additional SPEED or reduced the SPEED of my team (like I did this time) so that the chance to hit the target was greater (because it was blocked by the DODGE ability). Unfortunately, the opponent didn't do that (or maybe I indirectly anticipated it?), so the attacks from most of his units (including Heloise the Hollow) failed to hit their targets.

From this battle, I also learned that SPITE is not the same as RETALIATE ability. RETALIATE can only counterattack if it receives an attack from a Melee unit, while SPITE can counterattack from any kind of unit (but Heloise the Hollow must be losing first). Meanwhile, the HP reduction and WEARY effect of SOUL SIPHON abilities are contradictory in the WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU ruleset. HP reduction gives your opponent's units more SPEED and Attack power, but on the other hand, the chance for them to attack gets lower each round.
