Social Media Challenge || Double Magic WEAPONS TRAINING
Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
In this post, I will share a battle using 2 WEAPONS TRAINING units with the same Attack Type.
Battle
The ruleset for this battle is WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU (all monsters in the arena receive an additional ENRAGE
ability), and HEAVY METAL
(Players are only allowed to use armored units in this ruleset)
I chose Grandmaster Rathe as the Summoner because I thought that there was a possibility that the opponent might use Magic units. Although as far as I know, Magic units with ARMOR can still be counted. In the HEAVY METAL Ruleset, both sides try to choose Armored units to win each side in this battle.
The opponent relied on Chaos Knight because the opponent thought that I wouldn't use Magic units (for the reasons I mentioned above). Chaos Knight is suitable for dealing with attacks from Melee and Ranged units because he has the SHIELD ability that can reduce the damage he receives when receiving attacks from these two types of units.
I decided to use 2 Magic Armored units that also have the WEAPONS TRAINING ability (Aves Sturgis and Moxian Rebel). With these 2 units, I can use at least 3 non-Attack units with ARMOR.
The first is Albahoo Forester which has the TRIAGE ability to heal some of the HP of one of the units that are not in the first position as well as the RETURN FIRE
ability which can provide a counterattack when hit by an opponent's Ranged unit. The second is Nimbledook Explorer which has the PROTECT
ability. With the PROTECT
ability, all my units receive a total of 3 ARMOR (1 from Grandmaster Rathe and 2 from the PROTECT
ability). And the No-Attack unit I put in the last position is Evelyn Auvera. She has the THORNS
ability which is useful for hurting Melee units that have the SNEAK
ability. He also has the IMMUNITY
ability that protects him from debuffs, especially those from SNEAK units (Uraeus) that have the POISON
ability.
In the first round, Uraeus failed to deal damage to Evelyn Auvera. Similarly, Sunkai Harvester and Gargoya Devil failed to attack Blinding Reflector. Meanwhile, Chaos Knight managed to partially damage the ARMOR of Blinding Reflector.
Blinding Reflector, Aves Sturgis, Evelyn Auvera, and Albahoo Forester managed to defeat Chaos Knight even though he received Attack and SPEED boosts from the ENRAGE ability. Meanwhile, Nimbledook Explorer and Moxian Rebel hurt Sunkai Harvester.
In the second round, Uraeus attacked Evelyn Auvera but he took damage through his THORNS ability which damaged his ARMOR. Sunkai Harvester damaged all of Blinding Reflector's remaining ARMOR. Meanwhile, Gargoya Devil almost defeated Blinding Reflector with one attack.
Although Blinding Reflector partially damaged Sunkai Harvester's ARMOR, it was Aves Sturgis who defeated him. The Gargoya Devil that replaced Sunkai Harvester was also instantly defeated by Evelyn Auvera, Albahoo Forester, and Nimbledook Explorer. Meanwhile, Moxian Rebel attacked Uraeus who was now in first place and he received additional Attack and SPEED from ENRAGE ability.
In the third round, Uraeus who was in RAGE mode immediately defeated Blinding Reflector. But Aves Sturgis and Evelyn Auvera responded by defeating Uraeus. The opponent's Nimbledook Explorer which had no Attack power was defeated by my Albahoo Forester and Nimbledook Explorer that had Magic Attack.
Battle Review
Since the opponent didn't have any units (with VOID , MAGIC REFLECT
, or VOID ARMOR
abilities) that could dampen the attacks from my magic units, it made my victory look easier. 5 Magic units (2 Magic units that have WEAPONS TRAINING
and 3 No-Attack units) defeated the opponent's units easily. Even Blinding Reflector which is the only Melee unit can dodge several attacks made by the opponent's units in the first round. That's because Blinding Reflector gives BLIND
to all opposing units so that their attack accuracy is reduced.
From this battle, I just learned that putting 2 WEAPONS TRAINING units that have the same Attack Type and 1 No-Attack unit placed in the middle will not make the No-Attack Unit have the total Attack power of the 2 units. It will be different if the Attack Type of the 2 WEAPONS TRAINING
units is not the same, then the No-Attack unit has all the Attack Type of the 2 units.
But that's just my assumption after seeing this battle. And since WEAPONS TRAINING abilities can only provide a maximum of 3 Attack power, it is possible that the number cannot increase to 4 Attack power when there are 2 WEAPONS TRAINING
units. It is possible that if 2 WEAPONS TRAINING
units have Attack power of 2 and 1 point respectively, it will give No-Attack units Attack power of 3 points.
Those are the kinds of things I discussed in this Social Media Challenge. Thank you for reading to the end and see you in other discussions in next week's Social Media Challenge.
