Social Media Challenge || Daigendark Surveyor
Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.
In this post, I will share my experience using Daigendark Surveyor level 5.

The unit from the REBELLION edition that we will discuss next is Daigendark Surveyor. Daigendark Surveyor is a Common unit from Water Element. Although he does not have an Attack power, it is understandable because he only has 2 Mana points and quite a lot of Health.
In addition, Daigendark Surveyor has 3 abilities that he gets at levels 1, 5, and 10 respectively. At the first level, he has the MAGIC REFLECT ability. MAGIC REFLECT
is an ability that will give a counterattack if an attack from a magic unit hits the ability owner. Although the counterattack is only half of what he received if in the team there is a unit that has the AMPLIFY
ability then the counterattack will increase by 1 point.
At the fifth level, Daigendark Surveyor receives an additional SLOW ability. SLOW
is an ability that will reduce the speed of all opponent units by 1 point. And at the last level, it gets the STUN
ability. This ability will not work on No-Attack units like him, so Daigendark Surveyor needs a unit that has WEAPONS TRAINING
nearby so that he can get the same Attack power (maximum 3 points) from that unit and can use the STUN
ability which is useful to stop the target's movement for 1 round (with a success rate of about 50%).
Battle
The ruleset for this battle is UNPROTECTED (eliminates ARMOR owned by all units and cannot use additional ARMOR), and SUPER SNEAK
(all monsters in the arena receive an additional SNEAK
ability)
In the first round, almost all of my units (Daigendark Surveyor, Daarg Deadblast, Merdaali Guardian, Angelic Mandarin, and Igor Darkspear) attacked Cursed Windeku. The attack from Igor Darkspear also inflicts a STUN effect on Cursed Windeku which makes it unable to move in this round.
As for Diemonshark, it attacked Weirding Warrior and instantly defeated it. It activated the effect of its TRAMPLE ability so that it immediately struck the unit after Weirding Warrior (Doctor Blight) which was also defeated at that time.
Pelacor Deceiver failed to land its attack on Diemonshark, while Silent Sha-vi managed to injure it. Unfortunately, it activated Diemonshark's RETALIATE ability which made it attack Silent Sha-vi. Luckily for Silent Sha-vi because her HP was higher than Diemonshark's Attack power. If not, then Diemonshark can again use the TRAMPLE
ability.
The last attack of the round came from Life Sapper who targeted Daigendark Surveyor. In that attack, Life Sapper was counterattacked by Daigendark Surveyor through MAGIC REFLECT ability.
In the second round, Diemonshark defeated Life Sapper. But when defeated, Life Sapper activated the REDEMPTION ability which dealt 1 point of damage to all my units. My Cursed Wind was defeated by attacks from Merdaali Guardian and Angelic Mandarin. Before attacking, Merdaali Guardian healed Daigendark Surveyor's HP, while Angelic Mandarin healed Diemonshark.
Pelacor Deceiver who is now in the first position also receives attacks from Daigendark Surveyor, Daarg Deadblast, and Igor Darkspear. Igor Darkspear also deals a STUN effect when attacking Pelacor Deceiver. Silent Sha-vi failed to land its attack on Diemonshark.
In the final round, Diemonshark defeated Silent Sha-vi. Angelic Mandarin failed to hurt Pelacor Deceiver so he had to take damage from Pelacor Deceiver's BACKFIRE ability. Pelacor Deceiver was finally defeated by Merdaali Guardian, Daigendark Surveyor, and Igor Darkspear.
Battle Review
The Daigendark Surveyor in this battle acted as a replacement for Baakjira. This was due to the limited Mana available so I decided to use it instead of Baakjira. Baakjira and Daigendark Surveyor have several similarities. Among them are units that have even Mana, both have SLOW abilities, are No-Attack units, and have almost similar abilities (VOID
and MAGIC REFLECT
abilities) where both abilities are abilities that are specialized when facing attacks from Magic units.
However, in this battle, the opponent did not pay attention to the ruleset so he placed some units in the wrong position. For example, Weirding Warrior was placed at the very end (Doctor Blight has a CAMOUFLAGE ability that prevents him from being targeted by the opponent's attacks until he is in the first position).
The position of Weirding Warrior should be swapped with Pelacor Deceiver which has FLYING and BACKFIRE
abilities. Although it is a Melee unit, Pelacor Deceiver can still attack because it gets the SNEAK
ability from the SUPER SNEAK ruleset, so the target of its attack is the unit in the last position.
The use of Diemonshark was also a spontaneous decision, and I didn't know if the opponent had made a mistake in the formation and unit selection. Because of that, Diemonshark can use the TRAMPLE ability and defeat 2 units belonging to the opponent in just 1 round.
Those are the kinds of things I discussed in this Social Media Challenge. Thank you for reading to the end and see you in other discussions in next week's Social Media Challenge.
