Battle

The ruleset for this battle is HEAVY HITTERS (All units receive additional KNOCKOUT ability), MELEE MAYHEM (Melee units can attack from any position), and TAKING SIDES (Neutral units cannot be used in this ruleset).

In the first round, Vruz, Void Dragon, and Runeseer Sevaya attacked Diemonshark and made him enter RAGE Mode. Diemonshark damaged Vruz's ARMOR then he was healed by Anasth Soothsayer. Pelacor Bandit attacked Evelyn Auvera but she took damage through her THORNS ability (though she was later healed by Angelic Mandarin). Anasth Soothsayer, Angelic Mandarin, and Tide Biter defeated Vruz.

From the defeat, Void Dragon received additional points and Vruz was revived by Adelade Brightwing, Evelyn Auvera's ARMOR was repaired by Runeseer Sevaya. After that, Evelyn Auvera, Aves Sturgis, and Adelade Brightwing attacked Deimonshark. Deeplurker damaged the ARMOR and inflicted a poison effect on Vruz, but the ARMOR was successfully repaired by Adelade Brightwing.

In the second round, Vruz lost again due to the poison effect he received in the previous round. That made Void Dragon receive another point from his MARTYR ability. Void Dragon defeated Diemonshark, while Pelacor Bandit attacked Evelyn Auvera again and took damage through the THORNS ability.

After removing the debuff on Void Dragon and repairing Evelyn Auvera's ARMOR, Runeseer Sevaya attacked Tide Biter but was healed by Anasth Soothsayer. Angelic Mandarin and Tide Biter managed to damage Void Dragon's ARMOR. Although Anasth Soothsayer also managed to hit Void Dragon, his attack did not have any impact because Void Dragon has the VOID ability to reduce the impact of damage from magic attacks. Deeplurker failed to land his attack on Aves Sturgis. Adelade Brightwing who finished repairing Void Dragon's ARMOR, defeated Tide Biter along with Aves Sturgis and Evelyn Auvera.

In the third round, Pelacor Bandit damaged Evelyn Auvera's ARMOR and took damage from THORNS ability. The ARMOR was repaired by Runeseer Sevaya who then attacked Deeplurker along with Void Dragon. Despite being healed by Anasth Soothsayer, Deeplurker was eventually defeated by Aves Sturgis and Evelyn Auvera.

Angelic Mandarin who healed Pelacor Bandit's HP failed to deal damage to Void Dragon (as did Anasth Soothsayer). Adelade Brightwing repaired Evelyn Auvera's ARMOR and attacked Anasth Soothsayer.

In the fourth round, Anasth Soothsayer was defeated by Void Dragon. Pelacor Bandit, who had damaged Void Dragon's ARMOR, was defeated by Runeseer Sevaya, Aves Sturgis, and Evelyn Auvera. Angelic Mandarin was only defeated in the next round after taking damage from Adelade Brightwing, Void Dragon, and Runeseer Sevaya.

Battle Review

Normally I would pair Runeseer Sevaya with Rage which is a WEAPONS TRAINING unit. But this time I paired her with Aves Sturgis (who has the same Ability) due to the limited amount of Mana available. I paired them both with Evelyn Auvera and put them in the back row because Evelyn Auvera has the THORNS ability which at least deals damage if there are SNEAK units on the opposing team.

I was worried that the opponent would use DISPEL units that could ruin the "MARTYR & RESURRECT" strategy, but it turns out they only brought Anasth Soothsayer which has CLEANSE ability. Tide Biter's TRUE STRIKE can be a threat to Void Dragon if it lasts long enough. Unfortunately in this battle, Tide Biter can be defeated easily by my Magic units (although there is a slight disturbance because they receive a debuff (SILENCE ability) from Angelic Mandarin)
