BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! || EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY Ruleset
EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY

"All Monsters have the Blast ability"
EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY is one of the Rulesets that gives additional abilities in the form of BLAST to all monsters in the battle arena. BLAST
is an ability that deals additional damage to monsters around the target. If the target is in the first or last position, there is only 1 monster affected by the BLAST
ability. Meanwhile, if the target is not in both positions, there will be 2 monsters that will be affected by the BLAST
ability.
To optimize attacks in the WEAPONRY Ruleset, we need monsters that have abilities that target specific monsters. Such as OPPORTUNITY which targets monsters with the lowest health points first or SNIPE
which targets Ranged/Magic/no-attack monsters that are not in the first position first. But unfortunately, these 2 abilities can still be overcome by bringing monsters that have the TAUNT
ability and putting them in the last position. With the TAUNT
ability, monsters that have the SNIPE
or OPPORTUNITY
ability will be forced to target their attacks at those monster.
However, there is one ability that is not affected by TAUNT ability. That ability is SCATTER SHOT
. SCATTER SHOT
is an ability that attacks by randomly selecting its target each round. And this SCATTER SHOT
ability can be the preferred option to attack in the EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY Ruleset if you are sure that your opponent will bring monsters with the TAUNT
ability.
RULESET & FORMATION
In addition to EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY, the Ruleset in this battle is...
COUNTERSPELL
COUNTERSPELL is one of the rulesets that gives additional abilities in the form of MAGIC REFLECT to all monsters in the battle arena. MAGIC REFLECT
is an ability that returns part of the attack it receives to the attacker who is a Magic monster.
Therefore, it is not recommended to use Magic attack monsters if they are in the COUNTERSPELL ruleset. Unless the Magic monster has enough Health points to receive a counterattack from the MAGIC REFLECT ability or other support such as having a VOID
ability or a healing ability to heal some of the Health points lost due to the counterattack.
FIRE AND REGRET
FIRE AND REGRET is similar to COUNTERSPELL Ruleset, which both provide abilities to return part of the attack to the attacker. what distinguishes the two is that FIRE AND REGRET provide the ability in the form of RETURN FIRE . And RETURN FIRE
this ability can return part of the attack if the attacker is a Ranged attack monster.
The same advice applies when using Ranged monsters in the FIRE AND REGRET Ruleset. Use Ranged monsters with high Health points, Ranged monsters that have Enough ARMOR and/or have SHIELD abilities to reduce the impact of counterattacks.
My Line-Up
Cards | Ability | Reason |
---|---|---|
![]() | - Give an additional 2 SPEED to All Allies - Give additionals abilities (SCATTER SHOT ![]() ![]() | As I said before, SCATTER SHOT ![]() ![]() ![]() In addition to the SCATTER SHOT ![]() ![]() |
![]() | BLOODLUST + VOID ARMOR + VOID + GIANT KILLER | There were 2 monster options to fill the first position, Forgotten One and Grum Flameblade. But in the end, I decided to choose Grum Flameblade. The main reason I chose it was because there was a possibility that the opponent would use some Magic monsters, and of the 2 choices only Grum Flameblade could anticipate the attacks. Grum Flameblade* has VOID ARMOR ![]() ![]() |
![]() | REACH + ENRAGE | Although he will take additional damage from BLAST when the opponent's TANK attacks Grum Flameblade, it can benefit Radiated Brute. Because when his Health points are below 100%, he will get an additional SPEED and ATTACK POWER of 1.5 times the ENRAGE ![]() |
![]() | CLOSE RANGE + STUN | Despite the FIRE AND REGRET Ruleset, I decided to keep bringing Ranged monsters. One of them is Lava Launcher. I chose Lava Launcher because it has quite a lot of ARMOR in anticipation when it gets counterattacked due to the RETURN FIRE ![]() |
![]() | SNEAK + DODGE + BACKFIRE | I chose to use Tenyii Striker because he has pretty good STATS. The large ATTACK POWER will be very useful to be able to defeat the opponent in just a few attacks. Meanwhile, the high Health points can be used to defend against direct attacks and additional damage caused by the BLAST ![]() |
![]() | MARTYR + FURY | The other ranged monster I brought was Firecaller. Although it has low Health, I chose Firecaller to utilize the MARTYR ![]() MARTYR ![]() |
![]() | TAUNT + REDEMPTION | Although it doesn't have ATTACK POWER, Iidri Fyre still has the use of distracting the opponent to attack him. And when Iidri Fyre is defeated, it will deal 1 point of damage (which is equivalent to an attack from a Melee or Ranged monster) to all opposing monsters. |
BATTLE START !!!
The opponent uses Grandmaster Rathe who is known to grant VOID ARMOR and AMPLIFY
to all opponent's monsters. The opponent used Grandmaster Rathe because he wanted to utilize AMPLIFY
to amplify the effects of the additional abilities received from COUNTERSPELL and FIRE AND REGRET Ruleset.
In the first round, Radiated Brute attacks Chaos Knight while Tenyii Striker attacks Gargoya Devil. In this round, Lava Launcher targets his attack at Uriel the Purifier and gives him a STUN effect so he can't do anything in the next round.
Djinn Renova and Gargoya Devil attacked Iidri Fyre and managed to defeat Firecaller who was hit by BLAST from the attack. This made Iidri Fyre and Tenyii Striker receive an additional 1 point in all of their STATS.
Chaos Knight and Grum Flameblade counterattacked each other. That made Radiated Brute receive additional STATS from ENRAGE ability because his Health points were below 100%.
In the second round, Gargoya Devil was defeated twice. Each came from the attacks of Tenyii Striker and Lava Launcher*. In the second attack, Prismologist was also defeated as he took additional damage from the BLAST ability and Lava Launcher himself lost due to the effect of the RETURN FIRE
ability.
Radiated Brute and Grum Flameblade defeated Chaos Knight. Meanwhile, Iidri Fyre was defeated by Djinn Renova.
In the last round, Djinn Renova lost due to being hit by BLAST from the attack that Radiated Brute did to Uriel the Purifier. While Tenyii Striker managed to defeat 2 opponent monsters at once. when he attacked Adelade Brightwing, the BLAST effect hit Uriel the Purifier and defeated them both.

Review of this battle
I won this battle probably because I got my turn to attack faster than my opponent. Despite having the SCATTER SHOT ability that comes from Conqueror Jacek, the only monster that can use it is Lava Launcher while Firecaller is defeated first before attacking.
The opponent also brought too many Ranged and Magic monsters so they took damage from MAGIC REFLECT and RETURN FIRE
abilities. And that made it easier and faster for me to defeat those monsters.
