Battle from the Past (#17) : It's No Use When You're Not Focusing on SPEED

Hello everyone, welcome to my newest segment, "BATTLE FROM THE PAST". This segment was created because when I want to make a post for another Challenge (Social media and Secret Battle Mage Challenge) I always save all the battles I win. So that when the theme is determined, I don't have to bother to do a lot of fighting again because I have saved some of them.

Since the unused battle links are piling up, I created this segment to share those battles with you all. For this time, the struggle that I will be sharing is...

The rulesets for this battle are NEED FOR SPEED, STAMPEDE, WEAK MAGIC. NEED FOR SPEED is a ruleset that only allows the use of units with a SPEED of not less than 3 points. Meanwhile, STAMPEDE is a ruleset that will only be useful if there are units that have the TRAMPLE ability. In the STAMPEDE ruleset, a unit that has the TRAMPLE ability will get an advantage where it can defeat as many targets as possible provided that the previous target can be beaten in 1 attack.

WEAK MAGIC is a ruleset that has similarities with the VOID ARMOR ability, where Magic units cannot directly hurt the HP of targets that have ARMOR. In the WEAK MAGIC Ruleset, Magic units must destroy the ARMOR of the target first (just like the attacks launched by Melee and Range units).

In the first round, Vruz attacked Grund, while the rest of the units (Void Dragon, Supply Runner, Runeseer Sevaya, Rage, and Scavo Hireling) were forced to direct their attacks to Mycelic Slipspawn because he had the TAUNT ability. Mycelic Slipspawn did not lose immediately because he got a VOID ability from Immortalis. In addition, he was immediately healed by Uloth Dhampir after receiving the consecutive attacks.

Regal Peryton damaged Vruz's ARMOR but was repaired by Scavo Hireling. Grund failed to land his attack on Vruz. However, Vruz was defeated by the attacks launched by Runemancer Florre and Mycelic Slipspawn. This made Void Dragon receive an additional 1 point in all of his stats. Thanalorian Blade failed to land its attack on Runeseer Sevaya.

In the second round, Mycelic Slipspawn lost to attacks from Scavo Hireling, Supply Runner, and Rage. Meanwhile, Void Dragon and Runeseer Sevaya attacked Grund.

All opposing units were unable to land attacks on their respective targets. Thanalorian Blade failed to harm Runeseer Sevaya. Meanwhile, Regal Peryton, Runemancer Florre, Uloth Dhampir, and Grund failed to land their attacks on Void Dragon.

In the third round, Void Dragon, Scavo Hireling, Supply Runner, and Rage managed to defeat Grund. Regal Peryton managed to damage Void Dragon's ARMOR but was repaired by Runeseer Sevaya. Afterward, Runeseer Sevaya immediately attacked Regal Peryton.

The Thanalorian Blade still couldn't hurt the Runeseer Sevaya. Likewise, Uloth Dhampir and Runemancer Florre failed to land their attacks on Void Dragon.

In the fourth round, Regal Peryton was defeated by Void Dragon, Scavo Hireling, and Supply Runner. Scavo Hireling also repaired Void Dragon's ARMOR. Meanwhile, Runeseer Sevaya and Rage attacked Thanalorian Blade.

All opposing units (Thanalorian Blade, Uloth Dhampir, Runemancer Florre) failed to land their attacks on Void Dragon.

In the fifth round, Thanalorian Blade was defeated by Void Dragon and Scavo Hireling. The first-positioned Uloth Dhampir received attacks from Supply Runner, Rage, and Runeseer Sevaya. Meanwhile, Runemancer Florre failed to hurt Void Dragon.

The same thing happened to Uloth Dhampir in round six, where he was defeated by Void Dragon and Scavo Hireling. In this round, Runemancer Florre was still able to survive attacks from Supply Runner, Rage, and Runeseer Sevaya. He was only defeated in the next round by attacks from Void Dragon, Scavo Hireling, and Supply Runner.

Review

At first glance, my formation is underdog because it focuses too much on Magic units. Meanwhile, the opposing side has Immortalis which gives VOID ability which is useful for reducing the impact of damage caused by Magic units. But because I mostly use units that manipulate speed (SWIFTNESS and SLOW abilities) coupled with units that have BLIND abilities, most of the opponent's attacks do not hurt my units.

The choice of units made by the opponent also seems to be the cause of their attacks failing to hurt my units. Most of them (the opponent's units) even had SPEED below 3 points after getting a lot of debuffs from my side. But the MVP of this battle was Void Dragon (and Vruz who gave him extra points in his stats). With the FLYING and PHASE abilities, the attack accuracy of all the opponent's units is reduced.

That's one of the battles that I shared in Battle from the Past this time. Hopefully, you will get a little idea about the strategy after seeing this battle. Thank you for visiting and reading this post until the end. See you in the next post.
