Hi HODLers and NFT lovers,

You can find the article here

The internet and Crypto Twitter all had different reactions to this news.

One of the main reaction was calling it "doxxing" therefore implying that this article and outing was clearly over reaching and going into privacy issues.

If you do not know what doxxing is, here is a good definition:

Doxxing is a term that typically refers to publishing personal details about a person in order to subject them to harassment or punishment.

Despite the backlash on Twitter, Buzzfeed tried to make their point showing themselves as some kind of white knights

Taking advantage of every opportunity

Solano and Aranow, both outted seem to have decided to take advantage of the situation. Shortly after the BuzzFeed article appeared, they posted pictures of themselves on Twitter in a "Web2 me vs Web3 me"

Web2 vs Web3 mentality?

I guess this might be a generational shift and therefore we are in for a lot more of these misunderstandings. Bring it Web2 ! We are ready :D.

Today I saw a hot girl sharing this Web2 vs Web3 me post but I did not think that it's real 😅
Better if they keep themselves anon imho. No need to be hacked 💁🏼‍♂️

Indeed, it is a statement but we learned that sometimes, it is MUCH better to stay anonymous :D

Wow. BuzzFeed shouldn't have done this without contacting them first. I don't think it's a huge deal but they should have respected their privacy.

I felt the same way, why did they have to do it that way as if they were some kind of thieves ! They sold their project and decided to stay anonymous and this is not illegal as far as I know...

I think if you are running a big project you should be transparent about who you are.
I don't buy stuff, if I don't know who is behind it x)

Well, I agree but if they sold this project being anonymous and some bought it, what gives Buzzfeed the right to out them. Nobody forced anyone to buy these :D

I am against doxing people like this but nothing can change things after it has already happened. However I do agree that they should be publically announce themselves. After all, I am a little skeptical of putting money into these types of projects without knowing who is behind it.

100% agreeing with you. But nobody is forcing any of these investors to put money there. They never pretended they would reveal their name, so we knew they would stay anonymous, they did not lie.

I also feel much better having the creator's names of a project before jumping in!

Ha...ha...ha...

Damn so funny. Those NFTs look like their creators only. even in personel life, people gossip on our personal lives... so this is how it translates in the crypto space, then!!

Will read the article, dull day today even since that 30% flat tax in India been thrown about...feel impoverished already!!

these guys should make NFTs on the crypto tax advocating heads of my country...that will be fun, not that there is less fun because too many critical memes of those people on twitter that entertained the crypto forks who feel like sheeps now.

So muh for privacy, decentralisation...yawns.

Hehe, sorry about the tax but it does seem that 30% is the average worlwide concerning crypto gains.

In a sense, I believe this tax even if high just gave a legal framework for cryptocurrencies in India which is an amazing news for the long term !

Take care,

That 30% tax is flat... on any amount of crypto gains, I am sure its not so high anywhere else in the world surely and its without the usual exemptions and reductions!!
