Reward Status
Hello, my fellow summoners. Today I will look at the rewards that I am getting for the time and attention that I am giving to Splinterlands. Many players have invested a lot into this game and we like to see our money returning. And this is happening with Splinterland, slowly but surely.
I am playing in the Diamond/Champion League, well it's Diamond for most of the season. When writing, my account is worth just over 2000 USD. Even though I invested close to 4000 USD. Am I worried? No! I have faith in this game and confidence in the development team and I will keep playing. These are the times when portfolios and millionaires are created. Would I like that my account is worth more? Absolutely!
If I look at this from another angle, I am glad that I have the opportunity to buy these assets at such low prices.
But let's take a look at current returns from playing the game. As I said these are returns from playing in the Diamond League for most of the season and last few days I manage to get into Champion. A lot depends on how early I get into the Champion League and lately competition is really tough. Yes, I am missing some key cards like Lux, Dr. Blight, max-level friends, and some other max-level monsters that would help me a lot. Also, I don't have some amazing cards like Kitty or Yodin so I lose some games there as well. Overall I have to be happy with where I got with my cheap Diamond team.
These are rewards from the last few seasons. Let's dive into more details and my opinion on that.

SPS
For most of the season I am getting around 400-500 SPS - and that is Battle SPS and Rewards SPS. It is almost 50% for each. Now and then it could happen a bigger drop in SPS that usually brings me up to 1000 SPS. And I am really happy with these numbers. Of course, I am hoping for that SPS Jackpot that could really happen from any Diamond or Champion chest. SPS feels random but I also have a feeling that the number of SPS that you could get is reduced and that there is some kind of a cap. I don't know if you feel the same way. Cards
It is really hard to put a price tag on these new cards but I really like them all and I am always excited when I pull a good number of cards. I am always looking toward cards like Swamp Spitter, Ravenhood Warden, any of the summoners, and of course those amazing legendary cards. If you look at my reports from different Seasons you will notice that number of BCX that I got is cut down in half, even though the number of chests that I won is roughly the same. And it feels like it is down by 40-50%. This is something that I don't like but I understand the devs. You don't want to flood the game with too much BCX because those cards will not be worth much once they go into the sale. It feels that I will certainly need another year until I max out my new Reward cards collection. This is my current progress:
- Common: 35%
- Rare: 35%
- Epic: 18%
- Legendary: 15%

I am really unhappy with Epic and Legendary and I think they should increase those odds, at least a little bit, especially in Diamond and Champion chests.
Potions
Ahh potions, I hate potions. Currently, I own around 3500 potions, both Gold and Legendary. That's almost 200 USD in Potions. It is useful to have those potions when you are opening the packs and when you are opening rewards chests but it feels so bad when from 10 Diamond chests that you earned for your Daily Quest in 6 of them there are potions. It feels bad because I have a ton of those, I can't sell them and I don't have anything to use them on. Can we increase the percentage of cards or merits dropping instead of Potions? I know that it is all about luck and RNG but still, it feels really bad.
Merits
I love Merits! Can we get more of those? Instead of Potions? That would be great! I was not really hyped about Mertis until the new reward summoners came that enables you to play one Gladiator card. And then with the new ruleset that enables you to play the Gladiator card, those merits became really important. On top of that Guild Brawls are bringing a ton of SPS so having those Gladiator cards can give you an advantage in battles. In a season I would get at least 1000 Merits and the most that I got is 6.5k Merits. So yes, please increase those numbers so we can have more fun with Gladiator cards.
Overall feeling
I am not unhappy with the rewards that I am getting, neither I am happy. I would like that get more BCX and I would like fewer potions, especially in the Diamond and Champion Leagues. I really like the new Soulbound cards and the whole thing that you can't sell those until the new set is released. I doubt that I will sell them even then as those cards are amazing and if not that you can always stake them on Land, especially GF ones. So once those cards get on the market I don't think they will be cheap.
