What’s up, Splinterlands newbies!
When I first jumped into the game, I was totally confused — no Spellbook, no cards, and no clue what I was supposed to do. Couldn’t play Modern Ranked, Wild, Survival, or even the new Frontier mode cause no have starter card etc. Sound familiar?

Let me break it all down for you so you don’t make the same mistakes I did.

🧭 Which Modes Can You Play?

Splinterlands has different ranked modes:

•Modern Rank
•Wild Rank
•Survival Mode
•Frontier Mode (newest update)

Here’s the deal:
If you don’t have a Spellbook, you can’t play Modern Ranked anymore.
BUT — if you complete 100 matches in Frontier Mode, you’ll unlock Modern without spending anything.

To play Wild Mode or Survival Mode, you’ll need to buy a Spellbook (and a Wild Pass for Wild).

But before you worry about that — your first mission is to clear all the Campaign chapters. This gives you free starter cards so you can start competing.

🌟 CAMPAIGN WALKTHROUGH – CH. 1 to 12.4

🧭 PROLOGUE (PART 1) – Journey to Waur Medge
This is very easy. Splinterlands gives you a free card: Dread Tafarian.
Just set up your lineup and you’ll win the first battle.

🧭 PROLOGUE (PART 2) – Arrival at Waur Medge
Same setup as Part 1. Even if your cards die, it still counts as complete. This chapter teaches that you’ll need stronger cards for upcoming fights.

🧙 Chapters 1 to 11 – Learn

In CH. 1: Welcome to Waur Medge,
in this chapter after you complete you get main cards we can call (A). this card allow you to boost all your other cards example damage/magic/health/armour/speed/magic etc. but in this chapter after you finish you get AURELIA this (A)card boost your all cards health by +1 this really helps in next all chapters. this are easy chapter so I don't need you to show lineup or anything so i only tell you now what is next chapter and their rewards. after when hard chapter appears I show you how you complete that.

Aurelia.jpg

In CH. 2 Card

in this chapter you use your previous reward cards and easily win and reward was MAD GEARHEAD

CH. 3- MELEE ATTACKS

in this chapter again use your previous card reward and win . and get reward WILHELMDALE DEPUTY

CH.4-RANGED ATTACKS

in this chapter use WILHELMDALE DEPUTY at last and you can win .
but dont forget that melee cards and tanks are first in lineup.

🛡 CH. 5 – Armor

This is simple if you understood CH. 4. Follow the melee-first strategy and win easily.

⚡ CH. 6 – Speed
This chapter introduces the idea of speed and dodge.
Use fast cards to avoid attacks and win.

introduces dodge mechanics to doge attack From enemy this is the line up I use to complete this.

🔮CH. 7 - MAGIC ATTACKS

you unlock Marlai Singariel, who adds +1 magic. That means some cards attack twice per round — huge advantage! Put your tank in front, then ranged and magic attackers in the back.

🎯 CH. 8 – Abilities
Things get tougher here. Focus on positioning:

Tank in front

Dodge/speed cards in the middle

Ranged attackers in the back

(See lineup image below)

CH.9-MANA

gives you only 20 mana. I used full melee to win

like this:

🧙‍♂️ CH. 10 – Elements

You’ll learn about elemental card types.
Use Thalgrimore, who reduces enemy health by -1.
Study card abilities carefully — it’s important to know why a card goes first or last in your lineup.

🧪 CH. 11 – Modifiers

This chapter introduces battlefield modifiers like Noxious Fumes (every unit starts poisoned).

Screenshot_20250808_184317_Chrome.jpg

Use cards like Timebandit who can cleanse your tank and keep them alive longer.
Understanding the modifier will determine your victory.

🧠 CAMPAIGN – CH. 12.1 to 12.4
Now the real challenge begins…

💀 CH. 12.1 – Gon Fizzlebit

Use high-speed and dodge-based cards.
I recommend:

Scales of Justice
Chaos of Furybringer
Tank + Ranged + Dodge units
Win with speed, literally!

🩸 CH. 12.2 – Maul Bloodgore

Use the same lineup as CH. 12.1.
High speed and dodge still work great here.

🐷 CH. 12.3 – Gertrude Chompsbury

This is one of the hardest bosses in the game.
You’ll face a beast named Hungry Troll with 40 HP! 😱
But don’t panic — he’s slow. Use speed and dodge cards to outplay him.

Screenshot_20250808_190742_Chrome.jpg

I defeated him with all my units alive — just follow the right setup.

🔥 CH. 12.4 – Thayko Gol’Eavas

This chapter features Marlai Singariel, who attacks twice with magic.
Magic ignores armor, so protect yourself wisely.
Build a lineup that can survive magic damage and hit back hard.
