Social Media Challenge: Splinterlands Weekly Report (Apr 13 - Apr 20)

Greetings everyone, hope everyone is doing well. I am back again to share my SplinterLands Journey. And this time round, the cover is Magi Necrosi, one of my favourite death splinter card. A very good card and if mana permit, will be in my death squad lineup.

As usual we will start off with the progress report portion. Another exciting week of growth thanks to an awesome Gladius pack.

On EOS, rewards was ok with a couple of common cards and one rare card. To me, getting cards is always the best situation as it grows our CP so that we can progress into higher leagues.

And with Gladius packs in reach now after joining PIZZA 2 guild, the CP growth portion opens up another avenue. The pack which I opened this week contained a legendary Gladiator, that brings 1000 CP! Looking at the stats and skills, the cleanse is something good for life splinter as it is not readily available and makes life splinter viable for poison rule set or negative buff heavy opponent lineup.

Notable Battles

Have been sharing about Life Splinter lineup and Earth Splinter Summoner for the last 2 weeks. In this week, I would want to resume and share notable battles that I've encountered recently.

Fighting Waka Spiritblade

My first encounter against it. Highly raved about summoner at crazy price. What better way to have it challenge my favourite life splinter lineup. The battle was wrapped up in 4 rounds with only 2 counts of poison planted onto my lineup. Not sure if it is normal, but I find that the poison rate is a little low. Nevertheless, life splinter lineup came up victorious.

Ancient Lich and Cthulhu first encounter

Yes another first encounter battle. First time ever I see Ancient Lich and Cthulhu in a battle. Hear many scary stories of how Lich can grow humongous with its life leech ability and a Cthulhu that can wear down big health monsters with the cripple. With the high mana possibility, I lineup up an equally high mana lineup to face this crazy lineup from my opponent, putting in all my big magic hitters, sand worm and my ever trusty axemaster.

Bone Golem as a starter effectively suppressed my magic lineup. Thankfully i fielded a mix team else it will be a headache. Disintegrator suppressed melee attack of Serpent and Squid. A very well thought lineup by opponent as well. Both lineups well thought and what was the deciding factor of this match? Speed. The speed that my lineup have ensured earlier strikes on opponent lineup with Mr Reliable Axemaster doing loads of work to wear down opponent front line and sand worm taking care of the back. Great win,I love the good fight and salute to my opponent for his/her well thought lineup.

New Splinterlands Matchup Interface

Yes we see some changes to the battle matchup interface. First look, looks really clean and nicely designed. Now we are unable to see who are we fighting, which aids in getting rid of win trading. This is definitely a good improvement to the game and a good effort from the developers. Kudos to the good work!

Guild Action
My 2nd brawl here in PIZZA 2 and we ended as rank 3 again. I contributed 3 wins but lost 5 matches. I have to buck up and do my matches better so that we can get better and better each brawl.

Thoughts about Splinterlands Journey
This journey has been nothing but amazing so far. Was talking to some of my friends whom are still playing pay2win games. The rigid schedule and timing that need full coordination to run quest or fight really robbed them of their real life commitments. In Splinterlands, what do we have? Full flexibility in when you want to play! Play because you want to and at your convenience. No need to hide in toilets during work hours or even losing sleep just to take part in quest or group fights.

The flexibility on play time make Splinterlands such an amazing game, we truly enjoy the whole game play and not being enslaved to it. I am loving it. People whom are still on pay2win games with rigid timing requirements, do consider joining us and also interact with the community whom are always there to help you grow.

Call to Action
Splinterlands is a game that made me change my whole perspective of mobile gaming. The community and non-fixed gameplay is what attracts me and I believe will be something you wish to experience.
