Social Media Challenge - Having Fun In Little League

Prelude
Good day to all, hope that you are doing well and battling often in Splinterlands. It is time again for another battle sharing on a match encounter that happened over the span of this week. Today I will be showcasing a little league ruleset match which I had fun playing. While opponent had a very pressing lineup, somehow my favoured death splinter lineup still prevail and showed my opponent what we've got.

Somehow or by coincidence, in terms of variety, my death splinter collection have the most versatility in terms of cards to be used. And everyone of them is packed with abilities at my disposal. And this is why whenever little league ruleset comes around, I hope death splinter is available for selection as I can use all kind of utility cards ranging from Venari Bonesmith, Riftwing, Ravenhood Warden etc. So let's get right on to the battle.

Ruleset: Aimless, Little League, Fire and Regret
Mana Limit: 28

Selection Analysis
We have 4 splinters available for selection - Fire, Water and death. Mana wise we do have a good amount to work with for little league at 28, meaning we have enough mana to go around for each card to be all the way at 4 mana. This is comfortable for me.

So here is my selection of the lineup. I planted Venari Bonesmith as the tank since this card is able to get one extra health for each time it lands a successful strike. Though not as effective as conventional tanks, I do like the way I am able to deploy this card as it is beefy too. Next in line is a growing tank in the likes of Riftwing which is able to gather 1 health for each fallen card on the battlefield. To give it even more purpose, Moxian Rebel is placed beside it to give 1 magic attack through weapons training. Next will be Scavo Hireling which will be able to repair any broken armour. While it is risky due to fire and regret ruleset, I still like to equip my lineup with some armour through protect so that we get some sustainability through Ravenhood Warden. Last in the lineup will be the stunner which will help to stun and delay some attacks from opponent in the likes of Revealer.

On my opponent end, my opponent used a high risk high reward lineup with Veari Marksrat to lead the team and ready to sacrifice to boost the attack of shock trooper. Shock Trooper is next which is the card that gives huge magic attack but there is a price to pay with a zap to every card on its lineup at the end of each round. Next will be Musa Saline which has Scavenge as well to grow with each fallen card. Spirit Hoarder is also included to give some healing to the backline since everyone gets zapped and that is the best way to keep everyone alive. The next 2 cards are the healers and cleanser in Meerdali Guardian and River Nymph which serve to give better sustainability through clearing bad status and healing the tank.

2 very different train of thought in terms of lineup. Mine is to outlast while my opponent had ideas on pushing hard for the best outcome fast. Which one will prevail? Let's go right to the battle itself to see how it round went.

Round by Round Synopsis

Round 1 - This is not good for me with 2 casualties observed in this round with both Moxian Rebel and Scavo Hireling being picked out due to Aimless ruleset and with them being just 1 health, they fall really quickly. Thankfully a stun is landed on Shock Trooper to minimize damage on 2nd round for me.

Round 2 - Thankfully I manage to return the favour and kill off Spirit Hoarder and River Nymph was only able to clear the stun later than when Shock Trooper was able to strike. But this means trouble for me next round with a big attack incoming.

Round 3 - Effects of the high risk high rewards is slowly coming to hurt my opponent as multiple cards were zapped to death and only Shock Trooper and Musa Saline remained on my opponent lineup. Both Venari Bonesmith and Ravenhood Warden fell and now it is a 2 v 2 situation with Shock Trooper expected to fall at the start due to the zap to give us 1 v 2.

Round 4-7, Start of the turn, Shock Trooper fell and it was down to me adding pressure on my opponent's card with 2 cards wearing it down while my opponent only had one. Pressure went on till round 7 and we gotten a nice win by outlasting my opponent. A very nice win!

Battle Summary
Love the versatility that my collection had to offer. There is just so much variation that I can pull off with my death splinter. While opponent came with a plan to overwhelm mine, it is up to what my lineup had to be ready with and sustain through to see me to victory. Little League is fun too, it is like a downsized battle field, but equally exciting since mana of these low mana card are always loaded with nice abilities as well as needing one another to support each other to be successful as a team.
