PIZZA 2 Brawl Report -27 May 2025

Greetings everyone, the latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended approximately just about a day ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets.

Conclave Arcana frays are live, the modern fray is no longer Chaos Legion and Rebellion but now it will be Conclave Arcana and Rebellion. I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 8 for my guild which is the fray that is a Wild Silver Fray. Without sufficient Conclave Arcana cards, I ended up only trying to use whatever Wild Cards I still have which had a big chunk that came from Chaos Legion and attempt to play some matches with hope that they are still relevant.

Remarks
Selection:Are You Not Entertained, Fog of War, Armoured Up. Not sure if I can still pull it off but I just attempted to use my Quora and hope she can do me some nice growth because we do have quite a limited amount of mana available.
Outcome:Lose. While I did have Quora, Unicorn Mustang harness quite a fair bit of the attack and also with the Halving chemist doing some funky stuff and suppressing my attack, it become a mountain chore to overcome my opponent lineup. Very strong play by my opponent.

Remarks
Selection:Odd Ones Out, Aimless, Explosive Weaponry. This is actually a tricky one, so for me I actually put up a chunk of high hitting range attackers on my side and hope they land on nice spots of my enemy lineup and share the "love" of blasting their lineup.
Outcome:Win!. While opponent had a way crazy lineup led by a level 4 Alric, the spray and blast from my lineup is doing what they need to do and shaving off opponent card HP bit by bit and leave it an easy task to clear the balance after they are severely weakened.

Remarks
Selection:Healed Out, Heavy Metal, Born Again. For this, since there is additional armour, I also played with more armour and also prepared weapons training to ensure these non attacking cards can also contribute and do some damage.
Outcome:Win! We had just enough to sustain the line and keep the pressure as we clear each card 2 times due to the Born Again. Magic barrage is the way to go as we clear off those heavily armoured cards. A new kind of lineup that I put up for the limited mana but it served well.

Remarks
Selection:Just Fire and Regret. Which means to say, we should not be fielding range attackers. But because I want to detonate, I planted Marksrat for it to die twice. The remaining cards are my normal water splinter setup so hopefully, it will move in as plan to get double buff.
Outcome:Win! When I saw Coerul Lurker I was actually worried that I might end up striking air and not doing sufficient melee damage to move it down. Thankfully the front line able to pressure Quora while other cards take out Coerul Lurker and Slipspawn which are tough cards to handle. A very nice win!

Remarks
Selection:Odd ones out, go the distance and target practice. For such a ruleset and a super low mana, I do not really have any card that is really well suited for this ruleset. Time to hunt for something suitable and possibly have close range.
Outcome:Lose. While I thought I had damage boost from General Sloan, the additional armour and also the boost up from the martyr actually overpowered me and I lost the match because of 1 strike slower.

Guild Final Tally

I was assigned 7 matches for this brawl and won 3 out of the 7 matches. There were 2 fleeing opponent and 2 additional wins from unfilled frays. Not easy considering my cards are a little limited for Wild and worse that it is Silver League. Slowly build it up or move to modern, a decision to be made and planned.

Considering most of us are working on the adaptation of brawls, I think we did rather ok. May not be the best but I think we still maintain our good win rate. May we continue to find strength and seek new members to help us get the free frays and gather the win for a stronger brawl result in the future. Go PIZZA 2!
