PIZZA 2 Brawl Report - 13 Aug 2025

Greetings everyone, how are you doing this midweek? The latest brawl which my guild PIZZA 2 participated in had ended a couple of hours ago and it is time again to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I setup my lineup against all the opponents that I am facing and how I adjust my lineup to ensure the rulesets are being taken cared of. Another bad miss on my end where I did not have an Archon for death splinter which cost me a match.

Right now my focus and fray to be competing in will be the ones with Conclave Arcana and Rebellion which is either fray 3 or 4. I started gathering more Conclave Arcana and Rebellion cards so as to strengthen my modern ranked battle games and at the same time, will allow me more versatility to handle each ruleset and hopefully these cards can help me a little in the brawls. To also remind myself, I will also need to continue building up my collection and levelling them up. So let's get right on with the brawl report.

Brawl 1

Remarks
Selection:Upclose and Personal, Tis But Scratches and Even Stevens. A little tough here limiting to melee only and only even mana cards. Somehow I still got some to fill up the lineup as alot of my melee cards are odd mana.
Outcome:Win! It looked like my opponent struggled as well to find something to fill up the lineup. Nevertheless, my lineup still had some bits of combo to net me the win.

Remarks
Selection:Healed Out, Need for Speed and Super Sneak. While there is no healing, I just put up Quora since her double attack and stats will make her a tough foe to fend against. Remaining lineup are what I had that can be fielded, used Halfling Refugee as back padding to handle the sneak.
Outcome:Win! Opponent only had 1 card available, so it was just a simple push through that ended really quickly. Seems like collection restricting matches do have their own good as well.

Remarks
Selection:Reverse Speed , Heavy Hitters and Close Range. Super limited mana so I thought I would field Flagulon Reinee which is low enough speed and accompany her with something else as a cover since Flagulon should get some heavy damage and earn some blood lust
Outcome:Lose. I was totally wrong, opponent had the best of me by using 3 mana dual splinter Archon and called upon Quora. The rest was history as Quora just tore my lineup apart with a breeze.

Remarks
Selection:Just beefcakes. This match is essentially just putting up big meaty cards and hope that you can survive through. And of course when I use Earth Splinter, all my big guns including Quora will be ready to strike.
Outcome:Win! My lineup definitely had more bite than what my enemy had because opponent cannot fill up the lineup sufficiently. An easy win.

Guild Final Tally

I was assigned 7 matches for this brawl and won 5 out of the 7 of which included 2 fleeing opponents. Another 2 free wins from unfilled frays from opponent. The 2 matches that I did not win, one is due to me not having a 3 mana Archon to fit Quora and the other is me totally sitting out due to not having a dedicated Death Splinter Archon. Have been using Dragon Splinter then choosing death.

We tried our best but landed at position 6. I did not manage to get more wins and need to work on my collection. Felt a little unequipped, need to work harder for next brawl. Go PIZZA 2!

Closing
There is definitely room for more people to join us in PIZZA 2and participate. It will be a bonus if you have a good collection of Conclave Arcana cards since those frays are poorly filled right now or even if you do not, just joining the fray could already help improve our guild win rate. Do check us out in the PIZZA discord and check with the guild officers to gain entry to the guild.
