dCity Progress Update #48 (Including Starter Strategy)

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope all of you are doing really well. Time really past us by so quickly. In today's post, I will be running through updates to my city and also re-share again how I got to where I am today based on the jump start strategy that my mentor @ryosai had shared.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City and Intermediate Plans
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:

City
SIM income have managed to yet again achieve a new high of 95 SIM from previous 94 SIM. Just a little increase from before but I like this trend and I do see opportunities to push it across 100 with a little more tweak to enable a higher tax refund rate. For this is is important as well as managing the amount of young citizen in the city and selling when when it doesn't increase the income.

Welcome New Citizens
Compared to previous weeks, there is only 1 student conversion last week.

After paying the student debt, a priest emerges which is good because it gives tax refund as well. And that's all we have for student conversion.

SIM Millionaire Goal Progress

A mere 7k growth in SIM for this week which is not too bad but not fast enough. I will have to look at how to accelerate this further and be more active in turning the layer 2 coins that I am not using into SIM to accelerate this.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 348,969 SIM. Student debt was just a single one for this week and we continue to push for young citizen sales and layer 2 conversion to further increase SIM holdings.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.63 liquid Hive per month. For now, the daily Hive drip figure is of no change, but with more young citizen sales and further bulking up of SIM, the daily liquid hive value will slowly increase. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.

Starter Strategy
I think many people whom have been following me in my journey in dcity would have known that I do have a mentor in @ryosai whom have been guiding me along the way in my journey. And there is one important thing was how he gave me a jump start plan so that I can have enough in my city to be able to claim young citizen daily in discord. And today, I would like to revisit this and share with aspiring mayors whom have been looking at dCity but not sure how to come in and build your city.

In order for you to be able to claim a young citizen daily, what you need is to be getting into the top 400 income as per seen in the screenshot below:

And this is how the income leaderboard is like today:

0 SIM but in leaderboard? So essentially right now, all you need is have 1 SIM and you are nicely into the leaderboard and be able to claim a young citizen which you can sell and get some SIM income and subsequently some liquid hive when you cross 8000 SIM Power for an average of 30 days.

What can you get to kick start?

My take will be to get a music store which has an ask right now at 1199 SIM.

And 3 workers which can have some form of tax refund. I would suggest either getting a economist which is excellent for future scaling and maybe some policeman or professor which are going out at a rather decent price. Otherwise, eco-activist is a good option as well.

Assuming getting the cheapest variant of the city, 1199 SIM + 3 x 1100 SIM for policeman, your kick starter city would have been just approximately 4500 SIM and 0.36-0.4 Hive equivalent. A simple jump start to your dCity journey at such a great price. Stop considering and join us! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me.
