Community Engagement Challenge: Decked Out - Favourite Battle Lineup

image.png

Prelude
Hi all, good day to all of you. It's time again for Community Engagement Challenge. Today's topic will be looking at our favourite lineup. In the past before Conclave Arcana, my favourite lineup would sure consist of Djinn Oshannus, River Hellondale and Venari Marksrate whom have went through with me thick and thin for a very long run. But as the new modern is defined, I no longer can gather my favourite generals onto the battlefield like how I used. And this is why a new favourite lineup needs to be formed. So let's get on with today's post.

Favourite Lineup

Recently, I have been tinkering and trying to find the best lineup I can use in modern ranked battles and have been tinkering within the elves bloodline. While match to match there are certain differences due to the available cards based on the splinter available, they very much take the same shape and form with some cards in a match but not appearing in others and vice versa. Below are some examples of the matches which I used the elves to form up different lineup yet gaining me victory.

As you can see, the makeup of the lineup is almost 90% similar and have proven effective for me in many matches. And I have yet to finish building up my elf collection.

Roles of The Cards In The Lineup

The most important card that define this favourite lineup will be:

Kaylia Silverleaf

She is the one that defines the Elf Bloodline. Great for reducing magic from opponent's attackers and most importantly the bloodline dominion ability that gives the extra cutting edge above others. The execute that she gives to all the elves will allow potent killing and turning the tide to finish off your opponent when they least expect.

The next card that is important but not as critical as the Archon is actually Silverleaf Mage that carries a taunt and allowing other elves to stay clear of damage. This is actually very important as the longer more elves survive, the chances of turning the tide is higher as by that time, most of the cards on your opponent end would already be on the low end and easy for execute ability to happen.

Next we will have the bruisers, the ones whom do the bulk of the damage.

From the melee group, Thanalorian Blade is a top choice for me with good attack, speed and also some armour.

Next will be the range group where Silverleaf Ranger and Ash Archer both able to land some good damage especially Silverleaf Ranger whom have double strike, and because of this, she can really shake off a huge amount of health/armour from opponent card.

Lastly from the magic class, there is Blackmoor Wild Elf, Silverleaf Warlock and the foundation card Sorrow Harvester.

Before I wrap up this section, Thanalorian Archer is an interesting card as it is like a guardian of the bloodline due to it having the look out ability to ensure sneak and snipe do reduced impact to our lineup.

Every of these cards exist in the lineup for the reasons be it bruising or even as utility such as Thanalorian Archer. Honestly, there are many more elves that can be tinkered into the lineup.

Not forgetting, I do not really have a proper tank for Elf and have been using the value for mana Halfling Refugee as the tank.

Special Thoughts

I like the way Conclave Arcana works to allow me to shape out a frame for lineup instead of having a consistent lineup like previous. It will makes it a whole bloodline kind of gameplay which really maximizes the capability of every single card in the bloodline. I think this is really fun and I thank how the developers were able to put it through with this method to diversify gameplay.

Wrap Up
Thank you for coming by my post and looking at the lineup that is my current favourite. There are so many options and variant when I tinker the lineup accordingly. So many ways to play and so many way to suit different rulesets. All the best in your battles and have a good day!

Kaylia is a great Archon with some varities of tactics to play her. I am also thinking about buying her for my collection.
