It is actually amazing watching novice battles, at times I do wonder if they actually check out the how to play section before going into battle especially when you notice their battle position were placed wrongly, I could remember back in the days when I started too, I did the same thing because I was too eager to play the battle just to have a taste of how it is, I really didn't understand where to place my cards nor did I understand the abilities attached to it, they are too many and it isn't something you can just cram like that, I won some and lost a lot of the battles until I started thinking if there is something I'm not really doing right so I started making more research, getting to know my cards abilities, which one will work for some certain cards type.

Today, I will be discussion about this particular ruleset Up Close & Personal which is the main ruleset for melee cards, melee cards are my second less favourite card because they were made in a way that they can't attack from any position except the first, unless there are favourable abilities attached or the ruleset state otherwise, so most times I do reduce the amount of melee cards I use in battles and also they cant really attack opponent cards health directly if there is an armour present which make them really poor during the no ability ruleset. The ability that do favour melee cards are the charge, sneak and opportunity abilities and when it comes to attacking health after destroying armour, then the piercing ability can come in. In this battle I had with a player, we had 2 ruleset Up close & personal then stampede ruleset which give trample cards extra advantage whenever they destroy a card, this two ruleset really work hand in hand and someone who is use to the two ruleset combo will know what to do immediately, checking out the mana cap which was 56 and also 4 element present, water, earth, fire and death. A key player knows that water element will surely be a good option since we have Possibilus the wise that favour the stampede ability

I had to go all in with water and the summoner, picked Diemonshark as my frontline as usual and since the summoner brought in reach ability, I placed Coastal Sentry to the second position, this card have double strike and piercing which make it really strong for the battle while dealing 8 attack in total, that can help in destroying cards and trigger stampede rule, I went in with two opportunity ability deepluker with a poison ability and Kulu mastermind, both have 4 strength so they are really fit for the setup. There is no way you will be playing a melee battle without making use of the melee debuff ability especially when the mana cap is high enough, I had to bring in 2 demoralize ability card Disintegrator and Legionnaire Alvar, both cant attack since there is no sneak or opportunity present but are really important in the battle so as to reduce my opponent card strength, submitted my battle just to see what my opponent will bring onboard.

He really came in with some cards but not well picked, also found out they aren't well leveled so most of the abilities aren't available, I had to reduce is strength back to 1 which render them useless totally, with the advantage that I now have, defeating him was really easy with my strategy, It was a win for me, what do you see to this? do you always pair possibilus the wise anytime you have the up close & personal ruleset
