I was Five minutes late after the launch of Riftwatchers and it was surprising to see that the first 500,000 packs were sold out within the first minute. One can imagine how many play to earn game enthusiasts and investors have their eye on Splinterlands and wouldn't miss out on any new product. Splinterlands game has singled itself out in terms of the quality of airdrops it offers and that makes buying out a newly released card packs that urgent.

This incentivizes players to purchase their packs as early as possible, because packs purchased in the first 500k sold will have a chance of receiving all five of the new cards whereas packs purchased later in the set will miss out on any airdrops that have already passed. source

At the time of writing this post, 637,876 has been sold out and that means about $3.1 million worth of SPS has been pushed into the Splinterlands DAO while 637,876 VOUCHERs has been burnt. The amount of rift packs so far bought accounts for about 21% of the entire supply of the packs. That's a huge sales in less than 24 hours.

Apart from buying your Riftwatchers (Gems) directly from the Splinterlands shop, you can also purchase the tokenized cards as RIFT on hive-engine market. Either way lets you own some Gems (riftatchers card packs). So far, about 25,554.30 $RIFT token worth $14,165.67 has been traded on hive-engine.

There are pros and cons for buying RIFTWATCHER packs on either in-game shor or on the hive-engine market. Knowing the difference between the two markets will help you make a better investment decision as it regards Riftwatchers.

You can also move your RIFTWATCHERS between either wallets

it's cool that you can move your Riftwatchers card packs between the two wallets. Togling your packs between these two wallets is known as pack conversion.

Tokenizing is the conversion of packs from Splinterlands shop into tradeable $RIFT tokens on hive-engine while Deposit is the conversion of tradeable $RIFT tokens from hive-engine into packs that will be opened wihin the Splinterlands game.

I bought a few $RIFT tokens on hive-engine and deposited into Splinterlands packs. Screenshots are shown below.

It's amazing how the Splinterlands team are driving the sales of their assets with a robust and powerful marketing strategy. It gives every class of investor and trader the freedom to choose how to engage the investment. I won't be surprised if all the 3 million packs are sold out in a few days.

It can only get better!

Splinterlands game is termed the "next generation of collectible card games" in which allows players to collect, trade, and battle with provably scarce digital collectibles with real-world value. Battles on Splinterlands Unlike most trading card games, are fast and furious, and are usually completed within few minutes. The Splinterlands gameplay is simple and easy to learn viz: reviewing combat rules, making and submitting of the team and watching the battle unfold.

The beauty is that for those that have allocated s some sps to buy packs, the higher the price of sps, the cheaper the packs get relatively.
