When you are the boss...

Life is in chapters. The more you do, the more you know. I started running a company a few months ago, and I have learned more about being a company leader or founder. One thing you should know right now is if you are currently running a business or planning to start one, your competitors will have a schadenfreude towards you if you fail.

As a leader, you will become a target for everyone. This is one thing happening most in tech companies. There are many Fintech companies out there creating solutions for the same purpose, and they want to kill each other by creating different systems for fast transactions, a better lifestyle for customers, better API service, and good security.

Telegram and Signal want to bring down WhatsApp, and every failure of WhatsApp makes them happy.

A loan company wants to pull down another loan company. An investment company brings out a more juicy investment system to bring down the existing ones. Most people want to kill (bring down) another to be relevant, and it goes on like that.

In my brief experience of being a leader of a company, I am seeing this clearly and it is not a thing to get so emotionally for. You want to kill people and people want to kill you. Within the environment of my startup, there are over 10 software development companies and we are noticing ourselves. I am working on fixing their flaws by incorporating finance in my company and many investment systems, which Hive is included.

My previous associate is also a few steps walk from my office and we run almost the same business. This means I already have a close friend and someone that will monitor everything of my company’s growth. He would watch everything and if my company grows, I will be the target. If his own grow more, I will try to bring a better way for my customers and potential clients to choose my company.

If you are the leader of your company and you are making sense, just know that you are the target and many people will try to bring you down.
