Hive, the shining path to freedom or what we could be

I have mentioned this before but in light of societies ever worsening trajectory and the steady decline of most people’s quality of life it has become even more important that we find alternative ways to make our and others lives better.

I love hive, but outside of a few shining beacons it is underperforming considering it’s true potential. Hive and other social blockchains are potentially a lot more than just creating content and getting paid for it. We are dreaming too small , there is widespread applicability in various fields out side our meagre bread and( for me vegan ) butter. Examples include, scientific research, community projects, social education projects , DIY engineering projects, underground medical facilities , vet clinics ect. the list goes on and on.

I am a firm believer in a resource based economy, the only way we will ever get there though is to create alternative pathways around the current monetary system, be it through crypto, or trade and open source sharing. Hive could be at the forefront of this. Whales and the common user could pool together to finance research or engineering projects they find promising. Example some of you might know about bio sand filters they are easy to build and literally could help so many of our hive users in countries where clean water is not a given. We could help finance community gardens in urban food deserts. U.S .America is considered a developed country but what many do not know is that of all developed countries we have the highest poverty rate and also one of the worst health systems. We on hive could fund underground clinics that work with a hive and barter payment sytem. Things like this can really change the lives of many.

If we fund new inventions and scientific research we could make sure all findings are shared open source so the whole world community could benefit from it opposed to a few greedy few. If we where to fund larger art projects we could do such things that the funded would either have to pay a percentage of their earnings back into the hive pool or would have to promise to allow people to work with their material under a creative commons licence.

This does not mean they would not be able to sell their work or make money off of it but I am a firm believer that art can birth other art and that by cutting off that avenue the true spirit of creation is being murdered in its sleep- this is why anything I create is always under creative commons. Again creative commons is not licensees to take, let’s say, a picture of a pig and then just make the background another colour and call it a new piece of work; we need to be reasonable here- but you get my drift. The beauty of creative commons is that you always reference the work that comes prior so it is like a growing tree with branches the art becomes a history of itself.

Another thing I think often about is networking the hive homesteaders, crafters and micro communities into hive trading groups . We could trade good, surpluses, resources and skills with each other all over the world . How would that look ? Some of you know that I really want to revive my old Mutanthouse project . If I should succeed in doing so and was able to expand it further than my home( into the neighbourhood ), our micro community could connect with individuals and communities in the network - we could do things like tool and helper sharing for larger projects - we could trade amongst each other and create businesses that could accept hive as payment as well as fiat.

We could create a hive card that businesses could use to be able to accept hive outside of our network and maybe an app like our own cash app.

I have so many visions of what I would love to do for and with our blockchain -
An interconnected database and cloud based library where they could all support each other with knowledge and resources. Our own Etsy type site where people can sell their crafts for hive and/or trade them for other goods on the site .

We do have hive based video platforms but I wish we could expand on that we have filmmakers such as @hilladigahackles and @asonintrigue on the platform imagine independent journalists could stream live news feeds, user made original series and movies all made with hive and for the hive blockchain .

So many things we could do, and I wish i had the funds to do at least a few of them but if any of you are inspired by the thought of this together we can do it all and more. I am so tired of uninspired shitposts that rape the rewards pool. Like weeds they are suffocating the miracles that could come out of this platform while so much excellent content dies silently on the sidelines . I can’t help it I see the shiny possibilities and have to hope for them I can’t be the only one.
