I Logged Back into My Splinterlands Account and This Happened...

Sometimes you can't believe these things actually happen in a few years.

A little intro when i started playing, my first time i played splinterlands was like 2 years ago. I bought a starter deck and started playing. Ofcourse like a lot of you maybe too, i didn't expect the game gonna do this well in future (price wise). It is a great game don't get me wrong.

After some days/weeks i Wanna to step up a little higher on the rankings, so i decided to put like $100-200 into the game. At this point i was trading cards that i liked a lot and slowly i got a feel for the game. I played in Silver and Gold but there where way less people battling on Splinterlands back then.

After a while i decided to pull out my money like beginning of 2021 because i made some profit, not a lot but i had a few maxed cards that i could sell for some little profit. Most of them where Beta cards.

I remember i had maxed out this card because i liked it so much and you could carry a whole team with it.

My favorite card back then:

You need 11 of the cards to max this one.
I bougt most of them for like $2,50-$5,00 back then but now its $95 per BCX

I also had a maxed out version of this card that will be now around $1500 (need 11 of these combined) for level 4

Didn't know it would be gonna fly this high in price tho.

I thought if the game would continue to grow and become succesful it seems to me a good idea to keep some in my collection.

So lets go 1 week back in time and i logged in back to the game. I remember i had like $10-$50 of cards in my collection when i logged out the last time.

End of December 2021

So i it was the night before new years eve and i didnt know what to do, and i wanted to play a game on my computer but it didnt worked out so i quit and suddenly i was thinking about splinterlands and i was curious how the market was looking like (6 months later after last loggin)

So i logged in and all the prices where so high compared to last time i visited the market page. i will show a few cards now.

I bought it for under $5 now going for $33,00

This one was only like $0,20

I ended up with around $300 in total because i sold everything.

Final thoughts:
So my advice is not to sell all your cards in a instant, even if you never play the game again. Focus on the long term and not what the price tomorrow is. Remember what you goal is, playing just renting or selling them.
