"Unlimited" Mana Little League Battle

League: Gold III

The following was one of those Little League battles with "unlimited" mana. With every monster under 4 mana available to us, the difficulty of this setup wasn't the lack of mana, but the limited slots of six.

Looking at the last 5 battles of my opponent, I've quickly noticed that he or she was relying on Mylor quite often. With this in mind, I decided to skip using any Melee monsters in my lineup.

Out of my six monsters, five monsters were limited to one magic attack. This was the main reason why I chose to add Kulu Swimhunter to this team, which would bring a bit more non-melee firepower.

At the time, I didn't expect that the unusual duo Kulu Swimhunter / Venari Spellsmith would work that well. In fact, this was the first time I've seen Dispel so effective.

Countering Queen Mycelia Unintentionally

Queen Mycelia was the most expensive Legendary of the Chaos Legion set before Carnage Titan came out. One of the reasons is because she provides Protect to relatively low-health monsters.

However, the timing of Spellsmith's Dispel was just on point in this battle.

For the first three rounds, Venari Spellsmith kept on removing the frontline monster's armor, which allowed Kulu Swimhunter to finish them off. Then, once Mycelia was out of the way, the battle looked favorable.

In the end, glancing at the win rate of this lineup on Splintertools (100% Win-Rate), made me think that I should maybe make more use of this underrated ability in the future.
