A-void-ing Dragons! Share your battle feat. Void Dragon [SPLINTERLANDS]
Introduction to The Challenge
To complete this week’s Share Your Battle Challenge featuring Dragons, I wanted to find a way to make it happen with Void Dragon.
Last month, after the relative that introduced me to the game decided to take a break, he generously delegated me the two Legendaries he was able to pull out of his dozens of Chaos Legion packs, Torrent Fiend & Void Dragon.
This post is to primarily say thank you (@lightire) as it allowed me to try out a monster I hadn’t had the opportunity to play with before.
The Evasive Void Dragon

Void Dragon is interesting for several reasons. At level 1, it comes with two useful abilities, Flying and Void. On top of that, its 5 Speed makes it sometimes hard to get hit.
Since I got the chance to test it out in different contexts, Void Dragon has been convincing enough to make me purchase a copy for myself, just in case my relative comes back to the game after the Reward System revamp.
The Setup
I was trying to complete my Snipe Quest when the opportunity of running Void Dragon finally came. In this setup, there were only three Splinters available, Fire, Life & Dragon.
Broken Arrows

The Broken Arrows ruleset automatically ruled out the Life Splinter as I wouldn’t have been able to take advantage of General Sloan’s +1 ranged attack buff.
Then, each time I face the choice between Fire and Dragon, the dilemma often comes down to choosing between Tarsa & Camila Sungazer.

I usually prefer Tarsa, who gives two buffs for only one more Mana cost. Moreover, going with a debuff is often a gamble as we are never sure if it will end up being wasted.
But, well, I had a Dragon Challenge to complete! So, here I went with Camila. Furthermore, if the opposition went with Fire, there was a good chance of encountering a number of Melee monsters anyway.
Healed Out

When I saw the Healed Out ruleset, my first thought was to put into good use Djinn Chwala’s Thorns.
In my pursuit of always increasing judiciously, or at least I try, my Collection Power, I’ve recently bought a Gold Foil copy of both Epics, Uranus & Djinn Chwala.

They were around 250 CP per Dollar and offered 2500 CP each. Relying on them quite often, the Gold Foils allow me to profit from the 10% DEC Bonus after each win with them.
Camila Sungazer being a Legendary Summoner, I was able to take advantage of the full capacity of those two monsters even though Camila was only at Level 1.
The Battle
Rulesets: Healed Out + Broken Arrows
Mana Cap: 24

With a decent chance of fighting against a Fire lineup, especially in a battle with a Mana Cap in the twenties, I knew I had to look out for a few monsters such as Tenyii Striker and/or Serpentine Spy.
The Different Match-ups
Countering Tenyii Striker
The Fire Splinter offers a number of Sneak Monsters. One of their weaknesses is their relative slow Speed. By putting Void Dragon in the back, I was hoping that the Flying ability combined with its 5 Speed would allow it to dodge a few attacks.
In this battle, Tenyii Striker had a 45% of missing Void Dragon. It ended up missing only once, which was all we needed to keep the Dragon alive.

Countering Serpentine Spy
After having my main build in mind with Djinn Chwala as my main tank, Void Dragon in the back, and Uraeus to hopefully do some damage to the opposite backline, I wanted to add Scavo Hireling in the mix to optimize Chwala’s Thorns.
However, Hireling being a monster with not only low HP but also without any armor, I had to sprinkle my lineup with a few more baits to hopefully keep it alive long enough.

Countering Chain Golem
I put the Scorch Fiend in the front to take the first hit in place of Djinn Chwala as the Djinn is a fairly slow tank. Then, I chose Ant Miners as my second bait.
My thinking was that it would either get hit by opportunistic attacks if present or it would Scavenge its way up before reaching the front.
In the end, Scavo Hireling successfully repaired the Djinn’s armor twice, which was very helpful to contain the Chain Golem’s successive attacks.

Final words
To wrap this up, it was nice to see that I had a 100% chance of winning this battle, which also helped me complete this week's Share Your Battle Challenge.

Thank you.
They told me if I killed myself now it would save the lives of countless others.
Saying the longer I wait to kill myself the more people will suffer.
They are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 years. I know there are many in prison that dont deserve to be there because of this. Your stay in prison will not be fun @battleaxe and friends. People are going to want you dead when they find out what you did. I hope you die a slow painful death. You sick mother fuckers.

Its a terrorist act on American soil while some say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic and foreign threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers from telling the truth?
Thanks for sharing! - @cieliss

Nice Battle.
Thank you very much @cieliss!
