RE: Robots, Platforms, and Plenty of Action: A Look Back at Mega Man

I have only ever played the PSP remake of the first Mega Man though I came into the franchise with Mega Man 2. I loved that game but it would be years later before I got to play any others in the series, I think my next was Mega Man IV on the NES and then only cursory playing to test carts but not sitting down to enjoy them.

It is wild to think that there was a period of time when Capcom was not all in on Mega Man, well, other than the current generation. The whole idea of Mega Man was unique, and not copied by many other companies that I know of for some reason.

The first Megaman entry I played was X5 on PS1, which I believe is a great game, after many years I had the chance to play the original game and other installments of the X saga.

It always fascinates me, how hardware limitations of back in the day made possible that novel games like this came to life.

Best regards!

Hardware limitations is something modern gamers are missing out on. They complain because their platform of choice is running a game at 45 to 60 FPS and is not 4K or whatever. Back in the day we were excited the game worked after inserting it in the NES. 😂
