Still snow

Firstly I did the sketch and grisaille using burnt umber :
A monochromatic under painting is one created using only one color or hue. A related term, grisaille, is a type of monochrome painting done completely in grays, to help an artist with shades and gradients, composition and line.
Then block in major part with is the background before moving onto the figure.

I worked on the clothes of the figure , added a few details and also some subjects in the background landscape making the work look close to finished . I did this without minding too many details so as to not lose main focus .

Then I blocked in the face then proceeded to complete the detailing in the surrounding landscape too and on the figure thereby completing the work .
