Gold League - Coastal Sentry Showcase With Possibilus - Battle Against All Odds Against Lux Vega

Greetings everyone! Welcome to my first post about Splinterlands on Peakd platform. Today's post is all about the new souldbound reward card Coastal Sentry.

I was excited about the Coastal Sentry as soon as she was revealed and thankfully her stats didn't change. She's the ultimate partner with Possibilus the Wise with her double strike and piercing abilities, while the wise Leviathan can provide her with the safety of attacking from second position.

I was lucky to acquire enough copies for a straight level up on the first day of soulbound reward cards. Below is the link to the battle in which I'm using level 2 Coastal Sentry in the modern gold league against Lux Vega.

Coastal Sentry Showcase

Once again I'm against my worst archenemy, most oppressive card (thus requiring oppress to kill...get it?), and unbreakable wall - the Baakjira. The mere sight of the whale makes me roll my eyes in disgust. This time it's accompanied by Lux Vega instead of the usual Kelya which makes this battle even harder.

Then there's the Deeplurker syndrome - the phenomenon where it applies poison 100% of the time when on the enemy team and never when on your side. In this battle opposing Deeplurker poisoned my Wavebrood on the first hit, while mine kept on struggling until...

Turn 6 - "Turning tide of the match"

At the start of the turn, my team looks severely weakened after losing Wavebrood, and Djinn Oshannus waiting to meet similar destiny.

But then Possibilus made the impossible happen - Enraged Coastal Sentry demolished Baakjira and trampled a bit further while Deeplurker finally poisoned opposing Wavebrood.

On the 8th turn, Coastal Sentry got another double strike into trample.

On the 13th turn, my opponent is finally down to the last creature - Runemancer Kye with 36 health.

The battle finally ended on the 22nd turn due to fatigue!

This battle is one of my all-time favorites - in which I thought I stand no chance after seeing the opposing team. Luckily for me Coastal Sentry, even while being only level 2 against a fully upgraded gold-level team, managed to bring me victory and remind me why I love this game - every card has its place to shine even while being under-leveled.
