Wealth generated simply by using the right tags? Yep.
I know I've discussed this prior, but I wanted to remind folks that it literally pays to use the right tags in your posts.
Here's an example of how just adding a couple of tags will net this post a couple dollars more in Hive. That's a win.

Currently as of Sun Jan 30, Hive is worth $0.941 USD. So this post earned approx another 2 HIVE worth of second layer tokens.

My recommendation? Use RELEVANT tags!
- Are you writing about finance? #leo and #leofinance do it.
- Discussing marketing? #ctp tribe has your back.
- Gaming? #oneup is the next level
- Don't forget #neoxian, #palnet, #proofofbrain, #archon and some other general tokens. Hoover it up and convert it to Hive.

Came over from Listnerds and appreciate your reminder about hashtags. I am a creature of habit so once I figure out which tags are appropriate for the kind of stuff I post, hopefully I can make that a habit. Thanks for sharing!
Nice! I followed you. Yeah there are some good ones. One way to find good ones is to watch the bigger accounts in the tribes you like and see what tags they use, and go research the tag to see if it's relevant to what you write. Oh and I left off a post above. I wrote this one too:

I repeatedly come back to this because I see people with good content either using the wrong tags on their posts OR they aren't using ones that would really work for their niche.

Im enjoying earning hive had problems getting into hive so I knew that I had made a few accounts.Then I had saved it in my notes ,but every time I tryed it wouldn’t work so I had downloaded the app files my password was in the there . Yep, I wrote about using the right tribes. The best part of that is the relationships you build.
Most of my earnings come from comments as im just not a big poster. i actually think i add more value by commenting than by some tryhard post that i would make.
i think that's the important part, adding value where you can. That being said i try to use relevant tags when i post.
I found your post via listnerds and I'm trying to figure out how to make the most use of that tool currently. So far it's a good content discovery system.

Great article @threesteps! I was going to ask you, what's better as a tag #pob or #proofofbrain? I got pob with #proofofbrain, but I don't know if I was using it right or hindering my earnings. I believe it's #proofofbrain is the one their front-end condenser (proofofbrain.io) uses. You can verify that by checking posts there for either tag.
To increase your earnings you have to use the correct tags but above all it is necessary to do it if you want your posts to be seen.
Agreed. it helps people of common interest find posts they're interested in. I also use the Follow and Feed method - I follow people who write what I like, and then see their posts in my feed.
Tags are so important and they can even double your earnings. In the case of finance-related, or gaming-related topics, I've seen my post being worth double thanks to the other tags.
Yep. I have had posts where the upvote amount in #ctp, #alive, #leo, and #pob added to my post value significantly. I have other posts I linked about this topic. I write about this every once in a while as a reminder to folks so they earn more and it helps communities pick up followers.

Agreed. Find useful tags that others use, and adopt the ones that fit your posts.
Tags are also great when they are relevant. In a way, you can always put your earnings to work. However I think there might be a bit too many tags and some of them don't really seem to help much.
I have seen people use tags that didn't fit. Hive is an open place, and self-corrects. If someone is abusing a tag, you can always leave a comment and let them know. I know if I was mis-using one, I'd like to know. :)
I place tags properly selected under my post. I have done some mistakes time ago, but I corrected the proper addition of tags under the different platforms.

Yes, this is unique to Hive Blockchain. Tagging different communities will get you additional tokens to that particular community for the same post and content and increase your earnings.

2nd layer is great IMO. I earn a good deal on 2nd layer, which is where most of my holdings are.
You're exactly right! Adding appropriate tags is a hidden gold mine.
It is indeed. I calculate my earnings on 2nd layer sometimes just to show people how profitable it can be.
Interesting to see that you recommend the LEO tag for marketing. I am quite careful about that tag and only use it when blogging specifically about cryptocurrency. I like blogging on the LEO front-end, but have not done so for a while. Maybe my interpretation of what they are about is too narrow.
The ALIVE folk are very supportive and sometimes reach out to me suggesting that I could have used the tag in this or that blog post.
I haven't used some of the generic tags so much recently as the rewards seem to be very low. ProofOfBrain, however, is one that I almost always include.

yeah, I include LEO if I show my crypto 2nd layer holdings in a marketing post. I should make that clear. It's not just any old post, but the ones where I talk about my stake\hold strategy, or what I sell. And as always - do your own research. I write for entertainment.
