My participation this week! / Splinterlands Art Contest Week 347!
Hola, muy buenas a todos. Hoy, nuevamente una vez más, aquí con otra carta de Splinterlands que lleva por nombre: "Possessed Puppet.
Hello, good morning everyone. Once again today, here with another Splinterlands card called: "Possessed Puppet".
Como de costumbre, partí de la referencia y empecé el dibujo, añadiendo y modificando detalles. Esta vez decidí hacer las líneas más gruesas en ciertas zonas, lo que —para mi gusto— le da un toque más dinámico. Después, me centré en pintar la ropa, incorporando manchas de sangre en las partes oscuras.
As usual, I started from the reference and began the drawing, adding and modifying details. This time I decided to make the lines thicker in certain areas, which -for my taste- gives it a more dynamic touch. Then, I focused on painting the clothes, incorporating blood stains in the dark parts.

Fui terminando los demás detalles, pero sentí que la mariposa necesitaba algo más. Le puse un poco más de protagonismo: le di más color y unos toques extras para que resaltara bien.
I was finishing the other details, but I felt that the butterfly needed something more. I gave it a little more prominence: I gave it more color and a few extra touches to make it stand out.

Este fue el resultado final. Reconozco que los fondos no son mi fuerte, así que conseguí uno y lo ajusté. Al final, decidí convertir la mariposa en una fuente de luz que creara un contraste interesante en el dibujo. La idea que le encontré es como si su brillo revelara un lado puro del personaje, mientras que las zonas donde no llega su luz representan esa parte oscura que todos llevamos dentro. La verdad es que me encantó trabajar en este fanart.
This was the final result. I admit that backgrounds are not my forte, so I got one and adjusted it. In the end, I decided to turn the butterfly into a light source that would create an interesting contrast in the drawing. The idea I found is as if its brightness reveals a pure side of the character, while the areas where its light doesn't reach represent that dark part we all carry inside. I really enjoyed working on this fanart.
