The first mommy-daughter art collab

I wrote about this art collab about a week ago, click here in case you missed it. It was a very fun way of creating something nice with my daughter and seeing one of my unfinished (not so great) creations finished thanks to my little 6-year-old sweetheart. I was so proud of her for finishing this one that I said I'd mint it as an NFT. She was very proud, as she hear us speak about NFTs often!

Two editions minted

I didn't think it would make sense to mint a lot of them so I decided to mint two, one to put up for sale and one to hold on to so that I can give it to her when she's older. I think it's a fun way of tracking her artistic progress over the years as I'm quite sure she will get better and better by practicing. So what I did was list one for sale for 33 Swap.Hive as it's a number I love, it's my life number and a master number so I often get drawn to it whenever I need to decide on numbers. I decided to sell edition 1 and keep number 2. No real reason for it honestly, I'm not sure what's considered normal.

The next morning

Just before we left to go out for groceries, I noticed a higher amount of swap.hive in my wallet, but I didn't see any notification from @nftshowroom in the wallet. I went to the website and found a notification that @jongolson bought the first edition. When I told my daughter that someone bought her art, that moment, these eyes, I wish I could have captured it on camera. The look on her face, so proud, I won't forget that moment.

Earnings into HBD savings for 20% APR

I have to decide on which account I will use for this purpose but I will swap her earnings into HBD once I know which one I will use, and then add it into savings. I will turn this into a lesson about money for her to show her how this will grow each month and just show her lightly to make her understand by seeing what happens. Of course nothing heavy as she's just 6 but we also gave her a bank account recently to deposit the money she earns by doing small tasks.

I hope she will enjoy seeing her earnings in HBD in savings go up every month and at some point see that this is an awesome way to grow her savings. I will repeat this process with all her artworks that I mint and hopefully sell. It's honestly triple the fun as the creating together is so fun, the moment where it's minted (and maybe sells) as well as later being able to add funds into savings to grow for later. These moments will become valuable lessons and great stories for later.

Thank you, and yes, these small steps could definitely turn into very valuable life lessons! I can totally see how this will motivate her to create more and be better as she is earning crypto and on top of that the yield.

You can do that on NFT Showroom for just a few Hive you can mint one edition (3.333 swap hive) and for a low extra fee you can mint more editions too.

Aha! That would be awesome if they will!
I mean, it's also a great way to make sure cool art doesn't get lost when moving. Things can damage while doing so, or stay behind accidentally, I had this in my home country, and felt sick about it for a long time. This time I can avoid that :)
