One Step Closer to #Post2Earn

Delegation Enabled

"Woohoo! Yay! Awesome! Wait. . . why are we celebrating?"

Let's get the technicalities out of the way: There is no use-case in this upgrade until we have additional functionality unlocked to provide benefits for delegating the $THGAMING tokens. While you can now delegate $THGAMING to your heart's content, this step is more of a progress check towards the enabling of curation and all that this entails. So do not delegate your $THGAMING tokens right now, but know that this upgrade takes us one step closer to automated content curation on the Hivechain, as well as many other use-cases that you will read about in this post.

Un-Delegating

The Un-Delegation period will be 7 days, an amount standard for most Hive Platforms (Tribes). Normally, delegation is used to provide additional curation (staking) potency to other accounts or pool tokens for a curator (bot) that automatically returns a portion of the curation earnings to its delegators. This functionality isn't yet possible with $THGAMING, but it's on our list of features we'll make sure to support when the time comes.

Curation (Tipping) Bot

With delegation out of the way, our next milestone is enabling a tipping bot that will function as a limited form of "curation" while we continue chuggin' along towards a fully functional curation environment complete with everything #Post2Earn has to offer. Even as we enable delegation, we've already secured ~25% of the funding required for the next token upgrade. Keep in mind that additional legwork will be required to ensure the bot actually does what bots do, so keep an eye out for future updates on where we're at on its development.

Long-Term #Post2Earn Goals

To quickly connect the dots, here's a brief roadmap for our full curation system:

Setting up a self-sustaining curation bot requires time, technical knowledge and a lot of liquidity. While we may have the necessary token upgrades in place as early as March of this year, we're still working on a timeline for achieving full curation functionality.

$THGAMING Economics Update

After just 3 weeks, our fledging $THGAMING is trading strongly with few sellers and bullish consolidation from consistent buyers. Much of this activity appears to be motivated by an interest in participating in the HIVE:THGAMING Liquidity Pool where the majority of $THGAMING's public supply is camped out.

Liquidity Pool Status

Here's the latest snapshot of the $THGAMING LP:

Swap volume will likely clear $3k by the time this announcement goes live, and the total pool liquidity is nearing $3.5k. We've seen $THGAMING's price stabilize (a great thing!), but do keep in mind that the overall market is experiencing frequent bouts of volatility. Make sure you understand how Impermanent Loss can affect any liquidity you wish to add before diving in. Passive Earning

While we cannot tell you how you should invest or what you should do with your $THGAMING, it's worth pointing out that the LP is currently the only source of passive earning for $THGAMING holders. As you can see, $THGAMING liquidity providers are currently enjoying a wide variety of rewards including $PIMP, $LVL, and $BRO!

Long-Term LP Goals

In order to further reward our LP stakers, we're continuing to top-off the rewards pool as more holders wade in. 22.6% of the $THGAMING supply is currently trading in the HIVE:THGAMING LP with more being added each day. Given the popularity of the pool and the pace at which we're upgrading the token, we intend to continue supporting this pool into Phase 2. This means scaling the rewards pool to match demand should interest in $THGAMING continue to grow.

We're now focused on fleshing out specific use-cases for $THGAMING, so keep an eye out for the upcoming announcement on March 1st, 2022.
