It was so intense watching the match between Kofi Kingston and GUNTHER! It felt like being in a ring with two rampaging bulls. Kofi was just like a lion, fierce and fixated on his target. He did not take time to start attacking GUNTHER before ring bell signs. That’s how you know he means business.
I could feel Kofi’s rage as well as his resolve. He was fighting for Xavier who had been injured before. When someone messes with your family, you have no choice but to fight back. And that is what exactly happened to Kofi in this case. He aimed directly at GUNTHER’s legs as if he was hunting game. Every action he took seemed retaliatory.
However, GUNTHER is not one to be trifled with easily. Like a bullseye, he targeted Kofi’s back strongly during their battle, taking me by surprise. When he stretched Kofi around the turnbuckle I couldn’t believe it; it looked like pulling out rubber bands to the maximum limit; Ouch, that must have hurt badly! But honestly speaking, Kofi is made of steel bars as far as toughness goes. He never gave up until the end of the fight.
By the end of this however, GUNTHER emerged victorious above others playing in this league.Kudos for being that tough boy! His powerbomb and Boston Crab were final nails in the coffin for him.However guess what? This is not through yet because there still remain odds where either Kofi or a much bigger force may come again seeking revenge against Xavier’s knee.
In general, it was a very strong match. It had every element of drama, excitement and impressive moves. It has made me even more excited about the future events in the King of The Ring tournament. I can’t wait to find out who will be the winner!
