What if Hive Became as Big as YouTube or Facebook Right Now?
Hi everyone, been a while since I shared a blog. I'm a little over a month old on Hive and probably still have a lot to learn. Some of my friends keep complimenting me about my achievements and how fast I'm growing on this platform and I always respond with "I believe in the powerful future of this platform".
I've got awesome mentors like @melinda010100 and @taskmaster4450le explain the potential of Hive and why especially with Taskmaster, I learned a lot about the potential of Web3 for the future.
So Hive is super awesome today and has so many benefits but I simply can't help but wonder exactly how it would look like if it was as big as YouTube and Facebook today.
First of all I can imagine the enormous number of members and communities that would have to exist on the platform with let's say a billion plus users. There would definitely be way more investors, obviously that would mean the Hive token itself would have a much higher value which means much more value on curation of author blogs.
I'm tempted to think of how a popular person's blog would look like on Hive at that point. I stand to be corrected but I'm thinking there's a cap of $100,000 on the curation value a blog can make, I saw it somewhere and would definitely love clarification on that.
People try their very best on platforms like YouTube because some authors literally make hundreds of thousands of dollars on one video content they make. I think it would not be strange if that was the level Hive was on.
I'm pretty sure people have made huge money from normal Web2 blogs and so this is definitely a possibility on Hive. Don't get me wrong though it ain't all about the money. I can imagine how many more Hive projects would exist and to think of all this happening under "Decentralization".
I actually do hope if this has to happen, the governments of the world don't find sneaky ways to take control it as they've always been trying to do to virtually everything that exists.
To be honest, thinking of a scenario where Hive becomes as big as YouTube or Facebook is definitely mind-boggling because it comes with huge benefits.
The interesting thing is that unlike YouTube and Facebook, Hive is fully decentralized and also Web 3. Defining Web 3 in my own words is just going to be three words actually; "The Next Internet". So this would mean that we would finally have a huge global platform that is not controlled by some billionaire business person, I don't even think I've ever seen that before in my life, hehehe.
The benefits of Web3, Hive getting as huge as these giant platforms is almost uncountable guys.
So if you ask why TheRingMaster works so hard on a daily basis to grow, it's because I've seen the potential of this platform in the future and would definitely love to be part of it.
I remember some years back being very active on my Facebook page. To be honest, I barely made some real good friends. Most people never really paid attention to the making friends part, the deep connection wasn't really there. It was mostly about liking the next funny entertainment video or the next celebrity everyone is following. It wasn't exactly a community.
I guess this is why Hive is seen as a community. I really feel the difference between Hive and the other platforms and just can't help to wonder how it would look like if it actually had a billion users.
I wonder if we're ready to handle a billion users though?
How many witnesses do you think we would need? How many communities that a niche based and generic and country based would have to exist to handle 1 billion users.
And obviously one of the most important questions would probably have to be, if the curators to creators will be enough for at least most author's blogs to get the recognition and attention and value it deserves. I guess these may be the questions to ask if we wonder about Hive getting as big as a billion plus users.
I'm very enthusiastic about the future of this platform and although I've heard a few times that the platform is yet still in the early stages, it's doing pretty well for early stages.
I would definitely love to get your opinions on what Hive would look like if it was as big as YouTube and Facebook or if Hive had a billion plus users?
Thanks for the time guys, hope you enjoyed this brief blog friends.

Three badges in a row. It looks like you have a collection 😂
A good collection dearest @hivebuzz 😂😂😂. I'm going to make that collection much bigger this year
Wow thank you so much dearest, I really appreciate it💯💯💯💯🏆🏆🏆
That would be wild! But I’ll settle for 5% the size 🙌
That's still going to be about 100 million users and that's going to be just as wild.... I really can't wait to see that happen good friend.... That would be a dream indeed
Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment I really appreciate your effort
Here's some !PIZZA !LUV !HUG !LOLZ !ALIVE for your support
That would be cool! I mean, having a userbase the size of those giants would be awesome. Hive would be buzzing every second of every day. Let's hope this blockchain grows over time.
Absolutely dearest friend, I really hope this happens it's going to be the very best platform amongst the big ones when we finally get there.. thanks so much for reading and supporting dearest, have a lovely weekend
Maybe think of it in a different way, let’s say we don’t reach billions but just doubled or tripled in size, that would benefit the value of the platform and everyone would benefit from that.
The weeks were Hives value props up are always cheerful moments but I think the best value here are the people and the connections we make with each other. The Buzz Parties and the Hive Fests… which I’ll miss this year due to having booked all of my leave.
So sorry you miss the fest, you're right though good friend, of course any growth will benefit the platform...
There are often people that speculate about how awesome it would be if Hive were to take off like that. I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer but the difficulty that new users face with simply logging in is "too difficult" for your average internet shlub, if that makes sense.
I think I understand what you mean good friend, of course there's just so many hurdles to overcome before this becomes an actual reality.. I really hope that gets fixed otherwise it would be a big problem if Hive is to get bigger..... Thanks so much the comment and support good friend
I follow LUISITO COMUNICA, an influencer who earns very well, I suppose as you say that HIVE, I know some users who have even bought cars with the rewards on this panel, so I agree with what you say and how prosperous this can be panel.
I wish you a happy weekend
Wait what.. did you say bought cars,😳😳😳 damn that's huge man... I best get serious with my work then😂😂😂 thanks for this !BEER
I'll know Hive has made it when NPR lets listeners support them with Hive delegations !LOLZ
But yeah, if we ever get even a quarter of the adoption of Facebook or YouTube, us long-time users of the Hive are going to be in pretty good shape..

Farm LOLZ tokens when you Delegate Hive or Hive Tokens.
Click to delegate: 10 - 20 - 50 - 100 HP
It's so true and you're so right good friend, I'm going to stay on this platform and do whatever I need to contribute to make it get to at least a quarter of Facebook, reaching that alone can be life changing for the old timers on Hive
Some good questions you ask here !
If Hive grew to that extent, hopefully it would be a relatively linear process over time. That way, we'd have the ability to scale and overcome glitches rather than being swamped.
For it to happen, we'd need Hive to be far, far more user-friendly in terms of onboarding, daily use, and on-screen help and tips. We'd also have to develop far better ways to handle the volume of data, both in how it's presented to users and improving search facilities within the ecosystem.
There would be other scaling issues we'd need to solve, mainly around how decisions are made, the size of the various reward pools and how tokens are moved around, but we've got some seriously intelligent devs, so I'm sure all these things could be resolved.
Wow wow wow good friend, you have touched on quite a lot of things we would need to overcome to be able to get there.. infact your comment is basically a whole blog I'm going to work on later on next week 🥰🥰🥰 I hope we solve the problems because Hive getting big would be world changing
I'd love it to happen, just to see how companies like Google and Facebook would react to a competitor they couldn't just buy out 😁
😂😂😂😂😂😂 good one bro... They would definitely be shitting their pants 😂😂😂😂 wow now I so badly want Hive to get big to see that too
