Training Ground; Community Engagement Challenge

Source

Hello hive community to my first post. I hope this will serve as the stepping stone to me making more splinterlands content. I had hoped to use the social media challenge to serve as my introductory post to the community and hive but as it turns out, that challenge has already expired and this will be expiring soon as well. I will do my best not to miss next week's challenge so I can properly introduce myself to the community.

The community engagement challenge as the challenge as been themed is focused on support articles for this week which we have been specifically challenged to write about the training feature which was recently introduced to replace the practice feature.

The practice feature which helped new players practice for the game had a lot of limitations which I am sure most of us would agree to. As far as I can remember, there were no rulesets applied to the battles. The ruleset for each battle was the standard ruleset which I am certain you will agree again was not a very good challenge for new players. Players need to be able to experience the several rulesets as early as possible so they can try out new card combinations and come up with good battle strategies as soon as possible.

The training ground update has addressed all these limitations which as far as I am concerned is a smart move by the splinterlands team. Coupled with the fact that whether you win or lose a battle in the training ground it has no effect on your rating, this is very good and gives players the freedom to do a lot of experiments.

In the training ground, users can "edit" the gameplay of the training in terms of difficulty level, allowed cards and summoner level caps. This way, both experienced players and new players can experiment some tactics and cards.

Players who use the training ground will not be playing against other players but rather will be playing against bots. This ensures that at all times, there are opponents available for battle.

As I was writing this blog, I entered a training battle with summoner level cap at intermediate, easy difficulty level and modern cards. The ruleset given me was heavy metal and fortunately, I won.

I hope as my first post on hive, I have done okay. Please help me with guides on how to make a better post. Thank you in advance.
