Marky plays Elden Ring - Part 7
Pert 7 of my journey into Elden Ring. This is a quick one as my mic wasn't broadcasting and I got an important page I had to deal with. This is a quick dungeon stomp into one of the smaller dungeons in the area.
I am trying to keep my videos to around 30 minutes as 1 hour seemed to be too long for some people.
After this I want to see if I can do a few quick weapon upgrades, then head back to Stormveil castle to finish the first large dungeon. It will likely take a few parts to fully complete.

Not sure, I lowered game volume as it was still too high, will do some testing before next stream see if I can get things adjusted better. I also want to find a fast way to crop the borders so I can get it full screen.
What are you using to record tho? I think OBS could help you because you can modify the size of the canvas/screen (so that the excess space is not recorded)
I am using paid xsplit. I have tried custom resolutions. I know I can go windowed and set record area perfectly but want to avoid that nonsense.

Ok, figured out the mic.
I switched from an XBox 360 controller to one of my PS4 controllers. Windows switches the audio to the controller, so I fixed that back to my sound card but didn't realize it tried to use the contrller mic port as well so I had to switch that back to my USB mic.
Does that mean your xbox/ps4 controller has a mic inside? lol didn't know that.
Yes they all have a 3.5mm jack so you can plug-in headphones potentially with mic.
The problem is if you switch controllers it sometimes defaults to these and sometimes it doesn’t (if you unplug same controller typically) but since I switched to another controller it changed my sound devices.
They even have speakers which allows the controller to play specific sounds that would be close to player (like reloading) for a more immersive experience. I am not sure if the Xbox has that but the ps4 added it. It actually works well.

This also depends on the content. I saw a few hours from this game on YouTube. Some of its characters are very interesting, but the game itself somehow is not much, so I stopped watching Elden Ring after a few videos.
I still need to get this game!!
